Background: Patients presenting with chest pain represent a large proportion of attendances to emergency departments. In these patients clinicians often consider the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), the timely recognition and treatment of which is clinically important. In December of 2019, an emergence of a new type of pneumonia resulted in a pandemic. To prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), governments worldwide introduced a multitude of restrictions and preventative measures, including national lockdowns. Previous studies reported the clinical characteristics and epidemiology of the disease.
