Article Synopsis
  • * The choice of ligand significantly affected the emission and magnetic properties, leading to ferromagnetic characteristics, and we explored efficient electron transfer to the cobalt(iii) center using TiO nanoparticles under UV light.
  • * Our study proposed a model for interfacial electron transfer (IET) by analyzing the interaction between TiO and Co levels and demonstrated this process through the conversion of 2-propanol to acetone, enhancing our understanding of the Rpy ligand's

Diabetic neuropathy (DN) is a painful, chronic ailment that affects a large segment of diabetic population worldwide. Current medications such as pregabalin or duloxetine treat only the pain symptom associated with DN, but not the underlying nerve damage. DDD-028 (1) is a small molecule that displays potent pain-relieving activity in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced rodent model of DN.

Ferrocenium catalysis is a vibrant research area, and an increasing number of ferrocenium-catalyzed processes have been reported in the recent years. However, the ferrocenium cation is not very stable in solution, which may potentially hamper catalytic applications. In an effort to stabilize ferrocenium-type architectures by inserting a bridge between the cyclopentadienyl rings, we investigated two ferrocenophanium (or -ferrocenium) cations with respect to their stability and catalytic activity in propargylic substitution reactions.
