Comparing and assessing physical activity and sedentary behaviour guidelines for different populations with and without chronic conditions and/or disabilities: a systematic review protocol.

Physical activity guidelines targeting different populations with and without chronic diseases or disabilities are required to meet the diverse functional and physiological needs experienced by different subgroups of people to achieve optimal health benefits. As the importance of physical activity guidelines in promoting optimal health and well-being becomes increasingly recognised, there is a critical need for their systematic evaluation to ensure they remain effective, applicable and aligned with evolving health needs and scientific insights. This study aims to systematically review, critically evaluate, and compare global physical activity and sedentary behaviour guidelines on frequency, intensity, time, and type of exercise for adults, pregnant and postpartum women, and people living with chronic conditions and/or disabilities.

Prevalence of peripheral arterial disease among individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus in India - A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a prevalent complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). As India ranks second in the population afflicted by T2DM, and the objective of this systematic review was to estimate the pooled prevalence of PAD in individuals living with T2DM in India.

Methods: Five databases (Cochrane (CENTRAL), MEDLINE (via PubMed), CINAHL (via EBSCO), PEDro, and Scopus) were searched using database-specific search terms from inception to August 2023.

Effectiveness of low-level laser therapy compared with other conventional therapies on wound healing and pain reduction in patients with median sternotomy: a systematic review protocol.

Objective: The objective of this review is to evaluate the effect of low-level laser therapy, used alone or in combination with conventional therapies, on wound healing and pain reduction in patients with median sternotomy.

Introduction: In the previous two decades, the incidence of postsurgical complications following median sternotomy has remained reasonably unchanged. Owing to the shortcomings of conventional therapies in wound healing, alternative solutions are sought.
