Barley is the third most important cereal crop in terms of production in Canada, and Fusarium head blight (FHB) is one of the main fungal diseases of barley. FHB is caused by a species complex of Fusaria, of which Schwabe is the main causal species of FHB epidemics in Canada. Field surveys show that two or more species often co-exist within the same field or grain sample, and is reported as another important species in barley.

This new era requires innovative and cost-efficient solutions for genotyping. Reduction in sequencing cost has enhanced the use of high-throughput low-cost genotyping methods such as genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) for genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) profiling in large breeding populations.

Abstract: Rabies is a vaccine-preventable deadly viral disease prevalent in Asia and Africa that causes thousands of deaths annually. Rabies pre (PrEP) and postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) is highly effective in annulling rabies-associated deaths.
Porcelain aorta, characterized by extensive calcification of the aortic wall is often associated with coronary calcification. It can pose an increased risk of thromboembolic complications during interventional and surgical procedures. We present a case of a 52-year-old female, a chronic smoker with dyslipidemia with complaints of exertional chest pain for past 6 months.

Background: Patients with acute coronary syndrome may lead to various metabolic and electrophysiological changes that induce both asymptomatic and symptomatic life-threatening arrhythmias, which increases morbidity and mortality.
Methods: This observational retrospective study was conducted at Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center, Institute of Medicine, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal. Three hundred ninety-five patients with a diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome were enrolled in the study.
Introduction: Non-ST elevation myocardial infarction is frequently thought to be caused by incomplete blockage of the culprit artery, whereas ST elevation myocardial infarction is frequently thought to be caused by total occlusion of the culprit artery. The objective of the study was to find out the prevalence of occluded coronary arteries among non-ST elevation myocardial infarction patients department of cardiology of a tertiary care centre.
Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among non-ST elevation myocardial infarction patients in a tertiary care centre from 22 June 2020 to 21 June 2021 after taking ethical approval from the Institutional Review Committee [Reference number: 4271 (6-11) E2 076/077].
As genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) is widely used in barley genetic studies, the translation of the physical position of GBS-derived SNPs into accurate genetic positions has become relevant. The main aim of this study was to develop a high-resolution consensus linkage map based on GBS-derived SNPs. The construction of this integrated map involved 11 bi-parental populations composed of 3743 segregating progenies.

These genotypes were also evaluated for Fusarium head blight (FHB) severity and DON concentration under field nurseries with artificial inoculation of Fusarium graminearum by the grain spawn method across 2 years at Ottawa, Ontario, and one year at Hangzhou, China. Additionally, these genotypes were also evaluated for FHB severity under greenhouse conditions with artificial inoculation of F.
