Introduction: Phantom limb pain (PLP) is a neuropathic syndrome experienced by the majority of amputees. Various treatment options are available for amputees suffering from PLP including pharmacological, psychological and neuromodulation techniques. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a non-invasive neuromodulation technique that has proven its efficacy in alleviating PLP.

The presence of diabetes during the entire pregnancy can have an adverse impact on fetal and neonatal outcomes. The objective of this study is to examine the association between PGDM and neonatal outcomes at birth.

Despite this, no explicit guidelines exist for the management of its non-union till date. This study quantitatively analyses the existent research on scaphoid nonunions from 2013 to 2024 using bibliometric methodology.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe growing interest in renewable energy sources has led to a significant focus on artificial photosynthesis as a means of converting solar energy into lucrative and energy-dense carbonaceous fuels. First-row transition metals have thus been brought to light in the search for efficient and high-performance homogenous molecule catalysts that can accelerate energy transformation and reduce overpotentials during the catalytic process. Their dinuclear complexes have opportunities to enhance the efficiency and stability of these molecular catalysts, primarily for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and water oxidation reaction (WOR).

Environmental risk factors have emerged as an important modifiable determinant of several congenital cardiac conditions. Previous studies have shown a strong relationship between CHD and air pollution.

This study compares OMR use among caregivers and non-caregivers before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, identifies reasons for non-use, and examines the association between caregiving status and characteristics with OMR use. Secondary data analysis of the nationally representative Health Information National Trends Survey data from 2018 to 2022 ( = 14,034).

Despite its high prevalence, there is a lack of clarity in defining and understanding neonatal sepsis, leading to challenges in diagnosing and managing the condition effectively. The probable impact of neonatal sepsis on long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes, including motor and cognitive delays, remains under-explored in Nepal.

Using the 2020 California Health Interview Survey ( = 7638), this study examined the relationship between (1) caregiving status and loneliness among older adults; (2) sociodemographic, technology, health, and caregiving characteristics and loneliness among older caregivers; and (3) compared how these variables relate to loneliness among older caregivers of persons with dementia versus non-dementia conditions. Findings revealed that 15% of older caregivers experienced loneliness, with dementia caregiving significantly increasing this likelihood.

Purpose: To (1) examine how physical activity and sedentary behavior are related to mental distress and (2) identify and compare how various levels of sedentary behaviors may differentially predict mental distress after accounting for physical activity, among caregivers vs non-caregivers.
Design: Cross-sectional secondary data.
Setting: National Cancer Institute's Health Information National Trends Survey Cycle 6 fielded online from March-November 2022.
Eosinophilic cellulitis, also known as Wells syndrome, presents a wide range of morphological spectrum, from pruritic erythematous papules, nodules, and pustules to urticarial and bullous lesions. This is a rare dermatological condition and is known to develop after treatment of hematological malignancy. Here, we report a case of Wells syndrome that was the initial presentation of lymphoma, preceding all other symptoms by six months.

Herein, we report a trifluoroethanol-mediated, chemoselective method for the formation of Arg-Lys imidazole cross-links with methylglyoxal and its application in the selective macrocyclization of peptides between Lys and Arg and the late-stage diversification of Lys-containing peptides with guanidine. Our findings highlight the critical role of solvent choice in controlling chemoselectivity, providing valuable insights into solvent-dependent peptide modification.

Methods: We conducted a systematic analysis of 152 TikTok videos related to deep inferior epigastric perforator flap procedures, evaluating the accuracy of the content, viewer engagement metrics, and the influence of content creator characteristics on viewer interactions.
Results: Our analysis identified a wide variance in the quality of information, with many videos lacking in-depth educational content, thereby posing a risk of misinformation.
Introduction: Overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome is a chronic disease characterized by urinary urgency with or without urge incontinence, frequency, and nocturia and antimuscarinic drugs such as solifenacin have been the mainstay of treatment. Mirabegron a beta 3 adrenoreceptor agonist has recently gained importance in the management of OAB. The rationale of the study is that mirabegron improves the storage function without affecting voiding which increases the therapeutic effectiveness.
