Purpose: The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate human Thiel-embalmed cadavers with the addition of extracorporeal driven ante-grade pulsatile flow in the aorta as a model for simulation training in interventional techniques and endovascular device testing.

Materials And Methods: Three human cadavers embalmed according to the method of Thiel were selected. Extracorporeal pulsatile ante-grade flow of 2.

Purpose: Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) is the dominant treatment strategy for abdominal aortic aneurysms. However, as a result of uncertainty regarding long-term durability, an ongoing imaging surveillance program is required. The aim of the study was to assess EVAR surveillance in Scotland and its effect on all-cause and aneurysm-related mortality.

The appearance of a benign fistula between the airway and the gastrointestinal tract is a rare complication of esophagectomy. We report a patient with neo-esophago-bronchial fistula that developed 13 months after two-stage esophagectomy. Repeat thoracotomy was not deemed appropriate given the patient's chronic sepsis and malnutrition.

This case outlines the use of a continuous interscalene brachial plexus block to treat cancer-related pain. Using an elastomeric device, the patient's previously intractable pain was controlled and he was able to return home. Furthermore, the patient developed a pragmatic and effective method of balancing loss of power and sensation against pain control using the flow restrictor.

Mycotic cystic artery pseudoaneurysm is a rare complication of cholecystitis, of which the main treatment has been cholecystectomy plus ligation of the cystic artery. We highlight our experience with successful coil embolisation of this condition without the need for surgical intervention. This is followed by a comprehensive review of the literature regarding management of this unusual condition.

The inferior accessory ossicle of the anterior arch of the atlas is quite rare and has been described in the literature by only few articles. However, these articles have only included plain radiographs in the description. In our case, the above ossicle is illustrated in two imaging modalities, plain radiography and CT imaging.

Purpose: To retrospectively evaluate the 10 year follow-up results in patients who had "kissing" self-expanding stent aortic bifurcation reconstruction.

Methods: Forty-three patients were treated with "kissing" self-expanding stents for aortoiliac occlusive disease. Early follow-up with clinical and ankle brachial pressure indices (ABPI) was performed at 3, 6, 12, and 24 months and with intra-arterial digital subtraction angiography at 12-24 months; clinical and angiographic follow-up was performed for symptom recurrence up to 10 years after treatment.
