First Glance of Molecular Profile of Atypical Cellular Angiofibroma/Cellular Angiofibroma with Sarcomatous Transformation by Next Generation Sequencing.

Cellular angiofibroma is a rare benign mesenchymal neoplasm most commonly occurring in the vulvovaginal region in women and the inguinoscrotal region in men with specific genetic deletion involved in the gene in chromosome 13q14 region. Atypical cellular angiofibroma and cellular angiofibroma with sarcomatous transformation are recently described variants showing worrisome morphological features and strong, diffuse p16 expression. Nevertheless, the molecular profile of these tumor entities is largely unknown.

No evidence for an association of human papillomavirus and breast carcinoma.

Breast cancer represents a serious public health problem worldwide, for its high incidence, morbidity, mortality, and its high cost treatment. It is known that breast cancer is a multifactorial disease, possessing various risk factors, among which include hormonal factors, genetic and environmental. The role of viruses in breast carcinogenesis is controversial.

Rosai-Dorfman disease of the breast mimicking cancer.

Rosai-Dorfman disease or sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy is a rare proliferative histiocytic disorder of the lymph nodes. Extranodal involvement occurs in a considerable number of cases; however, involvement of the breast is very rare, and it is even rarer for the lesion to be localized in the breast alone without affecting any other sites. This report describes the case of a 50-year-old Brazilian woman with a lump confined to her left breast that had clinical and radiological characteristics indistinguishable from cancer.

[Paracoccidioidomycosis in cerebral hemisphere and brainstem: case report].

We report on a 36 years-old man that had been at the Amazon forest four years before. Six months before the admission he had developed a progressive quadriparesis, gait ataxia, dysphagia, dysarthria, difficulty in breathing and hiccup. The gadolinium-enhanced T1-weighted MRI showed a lesion into the right parietoccipital area and another into the medulla, that was the largest.

Melanoma metastasis to the breast masquerading as fibroadenoma.

Background: Although primary malignant breast lesions are common, tumor metastasis to the breast is rare. Melanoma metastasis to the breast occurs even more rarely.

Case: In the present case report, we describe an adolescent girl with malignant melanoma metastasis to the breast masquerading as fibroadenoma, in which it was impossible to perform differential diagnosis based only on the physical examination and ultrasonographic evaluation.

[Schwannoma of brachial plexus: report of two cases].

Schwannomas, neurinomas or neurilemmomas are benign peripheral nerve tumors. The literature report some cases associated with neurofibromatosis 2. We report two cases of cervical schwannoma originating from the brachial plexus unassociated with neurofibromatosis.
