Background: Management of recurrent endometrial carcinoma (EC) represents a challenge. Although a complete resection of visible disease at secondary surgery (R0) is recommended, the impact of R0 on survival outcomes is unclear and pooled data are lacking.
Objective: To quantitatively assess the impact of R0 on survival outcomes in women with EC recurrence.
Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecological neoplasm with an increased incidence in the premenopausal population in recent decades. This raises the problem of managing endometrial cancer in fertile women who have not yet achieved pregnancy. In these women, after careful selection, hysterectomy may be postponed in favor of conservative management if specific requirements are met.

The Red List Index (RLI) is an indicator of the average extinction risk of groups of species and reflects trends in this through time. It is calculated from the number of species in each category on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, with trends influenced by the number moving between categories when reassessed owing to genuine improvement or deterioration in status. The global RLI is aggregated across multiple taxonomic groups and can be disaggregated to show trends for subsets of species (e.

This study evaluated the clinical effectiveness of the screening program for nasal carriage of S.

Objective: To evaluate the learning curves (LC) and their assessment methods for Robotic Laparoscopic Surgery (RLS) and Laparoscopic Surgery (LPS) in gynaecologic procedures.
Materials And Methods: A systematic review of the literature was performed including the English language observational or interventional studies reporting the absolute number of procedures needed to achieve competency in RLS and LPS gynaecologic procedures, along with an objective and reproducible LC assessment method.
Endometriosis is a chronic, estrogen-dependent inflammatory disease characterized by the presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterus, causing pelvic pain and infertility. Infertility arises mainly due to inflammatory mediators in the peritoneal fluid, contributing to local hypoestrogenism, which appears to exacerbate chronic inflammation and sensitize pelvic nerves. Local hypoestrogenism within endometriotic lesions contrasts with the systemic estrogen-dependent nature of the disease.

However, the balance between efficacy and safety in subgroups needs to be better defined. We aimed to assess the relative benefits of DOACs in key subgroups of adult patients with ESUS.

This study aims to explore differences in complications and functional outcomes among patients undergoing deep endometriosis excision with the da Vinci surgical system compared to the Hugo RAS system.
Method: This is a retrospective, multicenter cohort study.
The interpretation of evidence on the de-escalation of triple therapy with the withdrawal of inhaled corticosteroids (ICSs) to dual bronchodilator therapy with a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) and a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is conflicting. We evaluated the efficacy and safety of ICS discontinuation from LABA-LAMA-ICS triple therapy compared to its continuation. : We searched PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web Of Science, clinicaltrial.

The framework states outcomes for species to be achieved by 2050 in goal A and establishes a range of targets to reduce pressures on biodiversity and halt biodiversity loss by 2030. Target 4 calls for urgent recovery actions for species where the implementation of other targets is insufficient to eliminate extinction risk.

Materials And Methods: We enrolled consecutive patients with apparent confined endometrial cancer who underwent surgical staging with sentinel node mapping from 14 European reference centers. LVSI was analyzed semi-quantitatively, according to a 3-tiered scoring system classified as absent, focal, and substantial.
Gastric cancer (GC) is the second most common cause of cancer-related death worldwide and a serious public health concern. This high death rate is mostly caused by late-stage diagnoses, which lead to poor treatment outcomes. Radiation immunotherapy and targeted therapies are becoming increasingly popular in GC treatment, in addition to surgery and systemic chemotherapy.

However, the potential iatrogenic loss of fertility caused by chemotherapeutic agents underscores the need to understand and predict chemotherapy-induced ovarian damage. This study addresses this gap by systematically reviewing the literature to investigate genetic markers associated with chemotherapy-induced ovarian failure (CIOF).

According to the ESHRE/ESGE 2013 classification, the class U2bC2V1 is a rare congenital malformation characterized by a complete septate uterus with double cervix and nonobstructive longitudinal vaginal septum.
Study Objective: to share the decision-making process, the preoperative ultrasonographic assessment and our step-by-step hysteroscopic surgery technique to manage this complex malformation: including how to access the septate uterine cavity, the resection of the septum and its postoperative management.
Port site metastasis (PSM) has been reported as a rare metastasis in women with endometrial carcinoma (EC). However, even more rarely, it has also been described in patients with low- or intermediate-risk EC. Unfortunately, knowledge appears limited on the topic.

Recent Findings: Over the years, the surgical nodal staging in patients with endometrial cancer has been intensively investigated. Traditionally, systematic pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy represented the gold standard surgical treatment to assess nodal involvement of the tumor.
Background: Current management of COPD is predominantly focused on respiratory aspects. A multidimensional assessment including nutritional assessment, quality of life and disability provides a more reliable perspective of the true complexity of COPD patients.
Methods: This was a prospective observational study of 120 elderly COPD patients at high risk of acute exacerbations.
Purpose: To evaluate the prevalence of deep and superficial dyspareunia in women with diagnosis of endometriosis. Secondly, to assess the temporal relation between deep and superficial dyspareunia in women reporting both symptoms (concomitant dyspareunia) and the impact on quality of life (QoL) and sexual function.
Methods: This is a cross-sectional cohort study that included fertile women with diagnosis of endometriosis.
Aim: Periodic screening for diabetic retinopathy (DR) is effective for preventing blindness. Artificial intelligence (AI) systems could be useful for increasing the screening of DR in diabetic patients. The aim of this study was to compare the performance of the DAIRET system in detecting DR to that of ophthalmologists in a real-world setting.

In this study, we analyzed the modulation of phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PI-PLC) enzymes by Harpagophytum procumbens extract (HPE) in synoviocytes from joins of osteoarthritis (OA) patients. In some samples, the PI-PLC γ1 isoform mature mRNA showed the IR and, in these synoviocytes, the HPE treatment increased the phenomenon.

Tuberculosis (TB) continues to be a major public health issue, with high mortality rates reported worldwide. It is worth noting that most of the hospitalizations for tuberculosis in the Sicilian region involve Italian-born individuals, underscoring the need to address this problem. Recent research on the geographic area and seasonality of infectious diseases, including tuberculosis, may aid in developing effective preventive measures.
