Spontaneous isolated dissection of the iliac artery (SID-IA) is a rare vascular condition typically associated with trauma or connective tissue disorders. We present a unique case of a 39-year-old male without known risk factors or trauma history who presented with lower abdominal pain. Diagnostic imaging revealed SID-IA involving the right external iliac artery with thrombus formation.

Background: There is a significant increase in the number of mucormycosis cases in the setting of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This study was undertaken to understand the clinical profile of such patients and the risk factors associated with increased mortality of this already deadly infection.

Unlabelled: Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19)-associated mucormycosis is on the rise in the Indian subcontinent. We report a unique case of cutaneous mucormycosis in a case of newly diagnosed young diabetic patient with severe COVID-19 pneumonia with post-COVID lung fibrosis. Neither did he have any preceding trauma or wound, nor was there any evidence of any secondary dissemination.
