In recent years, micromobility has seen unprecedented growth, especially with the introduction of dockless e-scooters. However, the rapid emergence of e-scooters has led to an increase in crashes, resulting in injuries and fatalities, highlighting the need for in-depth analysis to understand the underlying mechanisms. While helpful in quantifying the problem, traditional crash database analysis cannot fully explain the causation mechanisms, e.

Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different surface conditioning techniques on the bond strength between zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS) ceramics and resin cement.

Materials And Methods: Fifty samples of ZLS ceramic were used and allotted into five groups with 10 samples per group based on the type of surface conditioning technique. The ceramic specimens were crystallized and embedded into acrylic resin.

Article Synopsis
  • Recent advancements in lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries have focused on addressing polysulfide shuttling, though existing solutions often use volatile ether electrolytes.
  • Researchers have developed a stable monoclinic γ-sulfur phase within carbon nanofibers, enabling Li-S battery operation in less volatile carbonate electrolytes for up to 4000 cycles.
  • This study is the first to successfully synthesize stable γ-sulfur and demonstrates a unique redox mechanism that prevents polysulfide formation, potentially paving the way for new research in Li-S battery technologies.
