CT angiogram (CTA) has become the modality of choice for imaging of thoracic vascular pathologies, involving the aorta and the pulmonary arteries. Apart from showing exquisite details of these large arteries, pathologies and anatomic variants of their branches can also be studied to a great extent. The major branches of aortic arch can be affected by a wide variety of pathologies ranging from atherosclerosis to trauma and vasculitis.
