We describe the main tools for MR assessment of the response of rectal cancer tumors after chemotherapy, before surgery. In locally advanced cases of rectal and lower rectal cancer, MR is useful in allowing the treatment strategy to be adjusted, enabling conservative surgery to be performed if the patient responds well. The different types of response (fibrous, desmoplastic and colloid), their appearances and difficulties in MR interpretation are described.

Breast carcinomas with false negative mammogram correspond to carcinomas diagnosed with means other than mammogram when the mammogram, at the time of diagnosis, showed no significant abnormality. The rate of false mammogram is difficult to ascertain because few studies have been published on this subject. The absence of mammographic abnormality is related to histopathological characteristics of the tumor and mammographic features of the patient's breast tissue.

The authors report a case of unilateral primary adrenal lymphoma presenting with abdominal and dorsal pain. Primary lymphoma of the genitourinary tract, specifically adrenal localisation, is a rare disease. CT is the current best imaging modality for evaluating retroperitoneal masses and improving detection, characterization as well as assessing extension.

The authors report a case of perforated diverticulitis with presence of a fistulous tract between a peridiverticular abscess and the uterus during pregnancy with favorable outcome under medical treatment. The purpose of this case report is to illustrate specific imaging findings and clinical management of diverticulitis during pregnancy.
