How predominant cell and stroma types harmonize to predict head and neck adenoid cystic carcinoma outcomes?

Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is an uncommon tumor that usually appears in the major salivary glands of the head and neck region, including the minor glands in the oral cavity, sinonasal tract, and other sites. ACC of the head and neck may have a low-grade histological appearance. This malignant tumor has unusual clinical characteristics such as occasional regional lymph node metastases and a prolonged yet continuously advancing clinical course.

Solitary Plasmacytoma of the Breast: A Rare Entity.

Solitary plasmacytoma of the breast is an extremely rare neoplastic entity characterized by the localized proliferation of neoplastic plasma cells within the breast tissue that requires careful consideration due to its clinical and radiological resemblance to more common breast malignancies. While plasmacytomas are typically associated with multiple myeloma (MM), primary involvement of the breast as a solitary lesion is exceptionally rare. In this report, we present a case of solitary plasmacytoma of the breast in a 55-year-old female patient who presented with a palpable breast mass and no signs of systemic multiple myeloma.

Detection of Epstein Barr Nuclear Antigen-1 (EBNA-1), Early Antigen 1F, 2R (EA-1F, EA- 2R) along with Epstein-Barr virus Latent Membrane Protein 1 (LMP1) in Breast Cancer of Northern India: An Interim Analysis.

Introduction: Worldwide, breast cancer (BC)  is a prominent cause of death, with a disproportionately high incidence in developed countries. Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection has been reported in up to 90% of the world's population.  Although the exact link of EBV infection and breast carcinoma is not yet determined.

Expression of aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 in oral squamous cell carcinoma and its correlation with clinicopathological parameters.

Background: Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a key aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) isozyme, related to the cancer stem cells which are responsible for initiating tumor growth, progression, and recurrence. High expression of ALDH1A1 has been reported in several tumor types in humans and its expression is associated with poor prognosis. The aim of this study was to assess the expression of the ALDH1A1 in oral squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and its correlation with various clinicopathological parameters.

Incidence OF HPV and EBV in oral cancer and their clinico-pathological correlation- a pilot study of 108 cases.

Introduction: Out of all non-communicable diseases, cancer is the leading cause of death in the 21st century. Oral cancer ranks in top ten cancers in the world and oncogenic viruses contribute to its development and are a major preventable risk factor for it.

Material And Methods: In the present study we intend to find the incidence of HPV and EBV by PCR in 108 sporadic oral cancer patients and study the clinico-pathological variables in agreement to their presence or absence.

ALK-negative primary cutaneous T-cell anaplastic large cell lymphoma, myxoid variant; masquerading as sarcoma: unveiling the diagnostic dilemma.

We present a case of 50-year-old man with history of ulcerative right axillary mass for 6 months. Axillary lymphadenopathy and organomegaly were absent. Microscopic examination showed sheets of pleomorphic cells which were mitotically active.

Ceruminous adenoma: A rare tumor diagnosed on cytology with histological correlation.

Ceruminous adenoma (CA) is a rare, benign tumor of the ceruminous gland found in the cartilaginous part of the external auditory canal (EAC). The tumor is diagnosed on histopathology and shows a characteristic dual population of luminal epithelial cells and basal myoepithelial cells. However, CA can be diagnosed on fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) prior to surgery and the cytopathologist should be well aware of its cytological findings to avoid any misdiagnosis.
