Aim And Objective: The objective of this study was to assess and compare the dimensions (width (W), height (H), and length (L)) of the tuberosity distal to maxillary permanent second molar in individuals with skeletal and dental Class I and Class II malocclusions who had maxillary third molar agenesis.
Methodology: Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) was used to measure the left (L) and right (R) anatomical tuberosity dimensions in three dimensions using the WillMaster software (HDX WILL Corporation, Korea). The measurements were compared between Class I (n = 35) and Class II (n = 35) normo-hypodivergent adult subjects.
Aim and objectives The aim of this in-vitro study is to evaluate and compare the effect of various mouth rinsing agents on frictional resistance through sliding mechanics among orthodontic metal brackets and stainless steel (SS) archwire. Materials and methods Each group comprised 15 samples of maxillary first premolar pre-adjusted edgewise SS movable, un-bonded brackets (Koden Inc., United States) which were welded with a power arm, where 100 g of the load was suspended.

Materials And Methods: A total of 108 human first maxillary premolar teeth were randomly allocated into three principal groups (n = 36) based on the type of adhesives used. The adhesives include two CCAs: TransbondPlus Color Change Adhesive (3M, St.
Aim And Objectives: To determine the impact on the mechanical properties and surface features of ceramic-coated nickel-titanium (CC-Ni-Ti) archwires when subjected to charcoal, probiotic, and chlorhexidine mouthwashes in in vitro conditions.
Materials And Methods: Eighty samples of 25 mm were cut from the posterior end of preformed maxillary 0.016'' CC-Ni-Ti super elastic archwires (Koden Company, USA) and distributed into four equal groups.
Aims And Objectives: To determine the impact on the mechanical properties and surface characteristics of prefabricated 0.016" copper-nickel-titanium (Cu-Ni-Ti) type 35C (Ormco Company, USA) archwires when subjected to 0.05% sodium fluoride (NaF) mouthwash (ACT Anti-Cavity Fluoride Mouthwash, Sanofi Company, USA) and ozone-infused oil-pulling solution with coconut oil (O) (O Essentials, Health Ranger Store, USA).

The correction remains a major challenge for the rhinoplasty surgeon. Unrecognized nasal septal deviations stand as the primary reason for failed rhinoplasty outcomes.

Most patients find the conventional crib difficult (due to its position and length) in the initial days of treatment and become uncooperative. Hence, few modifications are made to the traditional design of the tongue crib for easy adjustment of the crib height and angulation, which provides comfort to the patient.

It may occur following both microscopic and endoscopic procedures. Over a period, the balance has tilted toward endoscopy due to development of pedicled Hadad flap.

Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the risk factors, distribution of vascular lesions, recurrence and outcome of stroke due to ICAS.
Methodology: A total of 100 consecutive patients of ischemic stroke due to ICAS were enrolled prospectively from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2015, and followed for 1 year for treatment compliance and recurrence.

We then examined the characteristics of their care as defined, in part, by the frequency of physician visits and specialty referral, the characteristics of laboratory testing and total costs as indices of the quality of care of the subject population.
Methods: This retrospective, cross-sectional study analyzed insurance claims, laboratory results and medication prescription data.
Background: Pluripotent embryonic stem cells (ESCs) have the unique ability to differentiate into every cell type and to self-renew. These characteristics correlate with a distinct nuclear architecture, epigenetic signatures enriched for active chromatin marks and hyperdynamic binding of structural chromatin proteins. Recently, several chromatin-related proteins have been shown to regulate ESC pluripotency and/or differentiation, yet the role of the major heterochromatin proteins in pluripotency is unknown.

Snf2h and Snf2l are ATP-dependent chromatin remodelling proteins that assemble, reposition and space nucleosomes, and are robustly expressed in the brain. Here we show that mice conditionally inactivated for Snf2h in neural progenitors have reduced levels of histone H1 and H2A variants that compromise chromatin fluidity and transcriptional programs within the developing cerebellum.

Embryonic chromatin is expected to be able to support a large degree of plasticity. However, whether this plasticity relies on a particular conformation of the embryonic chromatin is unknown.

Two strains (JC85(T) and JC108) of Gram-stain-negative, motile bacteria were isolated from endolithic beach sand samples on an oligotrophic medium. Based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, both strains were identified as belonging to the genus Rhizobium. Strain JC108 had 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity of 100 % with Rhizobium pusense NRCPB10(T) and formed a cluster with this strain.

The main DSB repair pathways are non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) and homologous recombination (HR). In mammalian cells, NHEJ, which can lead to inaccurate repair, predominates.

Hypertension, an important risk factor for coronary heart disease (CHD), is often associated with certain dietary habits which can either adversely affect or decrease blood pressure. Several Western studies have documented the role of diet, especially excess energy, both quality and quantity of fat and salt, in the aetiopathogenesis of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and CHD. Indians are particularly susceptible to these chronic diseases.
