Article Synopsis
  • Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory disorder affecting sweat gland areas, and a study was conducted in North India to examine ultrasound (USG) findings in suspected HS patients.
  • The study included 23 patients, mostly young adults, assessing correlations between clinical stages of HS and their USG results, ultimately leading to treatment adjustments based on USG severity.
  • Results indicated that 95% of patients had axillary involvement primarily, with some misdiagnoses detected, and the study highlighted USG as an effective non-invasive diagnostic approach for HS.
