Despite its wide prevalence, it remains an underdiagnosed disease since a large percentage of individuals who suffer from the condition do not have the classic symptoms described for the disease. We present the case of a 43-year-old man with severe iron deficiency and asthenia.

Objective: This study aimed to elaborate MSCs' potential in suppressing abnormal DCs cell function on peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) among SLE patients.
Methods: MSCs were isolated from human umbilical cord blood.
Our study evaluated the oviposition behaviour of Anastrepha fraterculus (Wiedemann, 1830) and Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann, 1824) in five fruit species. Apples, guavas, mangoes, peaches and tangerines were exposed to infestation for 6, 12 and 24 hours. Anastrepha fraterculus and C.

Information on the efficacy of the double adjuvanted vaccine FENDRIX (3-O-desacyl-4'-monophosphoryl lipid A and aluminum phosphate) and single adjuvant HBVAXPRO40 (aluminum hydroxyphosphate sulfate) in chronic liver disease is scarce. The primary aim of this prospective study in clinical practice was to evaluate the effectiveness of HBVAXPRO40 and FENDRIX in this setting.

Background: The long-term effect of a gluten-free diet (GFD) on functional bowel disorders (FBDs) has been scarcely studied. The aim was to assess the effect of a GFD on FBD patients, and to assess the role of both the low-grade coeliac score and coeliac lymphogram in the probability of response to a GFD.
Doryctobracon maculatus Marinho, a new species of Braconidae (Opiinae) collected in the municipalities of Piracicaba and São Roque, state of São Paulo, Brazil, is described and illustrated. This new species is placed in group of species with areolate propodeum, but is easily distinguished from other species of this group, and other members of the genus by the noticeable black to dark-brown spots on the head, mesosoma and metasoma. This new species was reared in larvae of Anastrepha pseudoparallela (Diptera, Tephritidae) in passion fruits, Passiflora alata Curtis (Passifloraceae).

The cooking properties, texture, colour and sensory acceptance of uncooked and cooked pasta were evaluated. The proximate chemical composition of the raw materials, and the microstructure of the dry pasta were also assessed.

In a prospective observational study in 1000 hypertensive patients, aged 50-70 years, with no prior history of stroke or dementia, we will study the presence of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and the relationship between SCL and cognition. All participants will be assessed by means of the Dementia Rating Scale-2 (DRS-2) and will undergo a brain MRI.

This single centre, retrospective study was conducted with the following objectives: a) to describe the clinical characteristics and short-term outcome of stroke patients with ACA infarction as compared with that of patients with ischaemic stroke due to middle cerebral artery (MCA) and posterior cerebral artery (PCA) infarctions, and b) to identify predictors of ACA stroke.
Methods: Fifty-one patients with ACA stroke were included in the "Sagrat Cor Hospital of Barcelona Stroke Registry" during a period of 19 years (1986-2004).
