In this study, Dy-doped and Dy/Sm co-doped NaCaPO white-emitting polycrystalline phosphor samples were synthesized using a solid-state reaction method. The samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and Photoluminescence (PL) analysis. The phase purity characterization and crystal structural analysis were done using the Rietveld refinement-based FullProf Suite software.

In the evolving field of cannabis research, scholars are exploring innovative methods to quantify cannabinoids rapidly and non-destructively. This study evaluates the effectiveness of a hand-held near-infrared (NIR) device for quantifying total cannabidiol (total CBD), total delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (total THC), and total cannabigerol (total CBG) in whole cannabis inflorescences. Employing pre-processing techniques, including standard normal variate (SNV) and Savitzky-Golay (SG) smoothing, we aim to optimize the portable NIR technology for rapid and non-destructive cannabinoid analysis.

This research work is based on the synthesis of -Schiff base derivatives of the commercially available ibuprofen drug in outstanding yields through multistep reactions. Structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by the help of modern spectroscopic techniques including high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS), H NMR, and C NMR. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their anticancer activity using a normal human embryonic kidney HEK293 cell and U87-malignant glioma (ATCC-HTB-14) as a cancer cell line.

To identify potential scaffolds to treat gastritis and oxidative stress, 2-aryl-1-naphtho[2,3-]imidazole derivatives (1-15) were synthesized. The synthesis was conveniently carried out by condensing 2,3-diaminonaphthalene with variously substituted aldehydes to yield 15 new 2-aryl-1-naphtho[2,3-]imidazole derivatives. Structures of all synthesized compounds were elucidated using MS and NMR spectroscopic techniques.

The signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) plays a fundamental role in the growth and regulation of cellular life. Activation and over-expression of STAT3 have been implicated in many cancers including solid blood tumors and other diseases such as liver fibrosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Therefore, STAT3 inhibitors are be coming a growing and interesting area of pharmacological research.

Liver fibrosis is currently one of the top ten causes of death worldwide. Stem cells transplantation using mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) is an alternative therapy which is used in the place of organ transplant, due to the incapacity of stem cells to endure oxidative stress in the damage site, thus affecting the healing process. The present study aimed to enhance the therapeutic potential of MSCs using combined therapy, along with the novel synthetic compounds of benzimidazol derivatives.

Plant growth promotion has long been a challenge for growers all over the world. In this work, we devised a green nanomaterial-assisted approach to boost plant growth. It has been reported that carbon nanomaterials are toxic to plants because they can inhibit the uptake of nutrients if employed in higher concentrations, however this study shows that graphene oxide (GO) can be used as a regulator tool to improve plant growth and stability.

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder with an increasing prevalence worldwide. Reduction in blood insulin level alters brain function by inducing oxidative stress with changes in dopamine and norepinephrine neurotransmission, ultimately leading to neuropsychological symptoms. The efficacy of currently available psychotropic drugs is not satisfactory.
