In this study, we introduce a ternary heterojunction composed of a nickel-imidazole framework (Ni-MOF), graphitic carbon nitride (CN), and TiC MXene (TC), employing solvothermal and wet impregnation methods, featuring a well-designed Type II heterojunction and a noble metal-free Schottky junction for efficient hydrogen evolution.

Spontaneous hemoperitoneum in pregnancy (SHiP) is a rare obstetric emergency that may have an adverse outcome for the mother and baby. This case report describes a unique SHiP case initially diagnosed as acute appendicitis in a patient with severe endometriosis before conception. A woman in her 30s, a primigravida, was admitted with abdominal pain at 32+5 weeks gestational age.

Background: Pharmacists serve a critical role in providing health care, especially in medically underserved areas. Despite the opioid crisis and legislation in most states allowing pharmacists to dispense naloxone without a prescription from another provider, pharmacists face multiple barriers to dispensing naloxone.

Objective: This study tested the effectiveness of CONSIDER New Mexico, an innovative educational initiative designed to increase naloxone dispensing by pharmacies.

Salmonella is an extremely rare cause of an infected endometrioma. We present a case of a 30-year-old immunocompetent woman presenting with fevers and abdominal pain, on a background of prior endometriosis. Initial antibiotic treatment for pelvic inflammatory disease failed, and the patient progressed to septic shock requiring surgical evacuation of an infected ovarian endometrioma.

A case-based learning exercise to increase students' understanding of the pharmacist's role in public health interventions for individual patients.

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether a public health (PH) micro-level case-based learning exercise increased pharmacy students' self-perceived understanding and confidence in their role as PH pharmacists.

Methods: Three PH micro-level case-based learning exercises in community pharmacy settings were developed and integrated into the third professional year PH course. Students enrolled in the PH course from January 2012 - May 2015 completed a pre- and post-activity survey consisting of 22 statements with Likert scale responses.

Participants' Experiences of a Workplace-Oriented Problem Gambling Prevention Program for Managers and HR Officers: A Qualitative Study.

Workplace health promotion programs (WHPPs) refer to a set of health promotion and protection strategies implemented at a worksite and designed to meet the health and safety needs of employees. One important question for WHPPs is how middle management experience their participation in a WHPP. This study aims to explore this question further by applying a qualitative content analysis to interviews with thirteen managers and ten human resource officers participating in a WHPP focusing on problem gambling.

Experiences of responsible gambling tools among non-problem gamblers: A survey of active customers of an online gambling platform.

Introduction: Responsible gambling (RG) tools, aiming at helping gamblers to avoid gambling-related harms, are common in online gambling platforms. Gambling industry, policy makers, and researchers have warned that RG tools can potentially disturb recreational gamblers, channeling them to less protective operators. No evidence exists to support these concerns, and they can hinder the development of effective RG tools.

To remember what one did yesterday is an example of an everyday episodic memory task, in which a female advantage has sometimes been reported. Here, we quantify the impact of sex on episodic memory performance and investigate whether the magnitude of the sex difference is modified by study-, task-, and sample-specific moderators. Analyses were based on 617 studies conducted between 1973 and 2013 with 1,233,921 participants.

Automated virtual reality exposure therapy for spider phobia vs. in-vivo one-session treatment: A randomized non-inferiority trial.

This study compared the efficacy of a technician-assisted single-session virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET) for the treatment of spider phobia featuring low-cost consumer-available hardware and novel automated software to gold-standard in-vivo one-session treatment (OST), using a parallel group randomized non-inferiority design. Method Participants (N = 100) were randomized to VRET and OST arms. Assessors blinded to treatment allocation evaluated participants at pre- and post-treatment as well follow-up (3 and 12 months) using a behavioral approach test (BAT) and self-rated fear of spider, anxiety, depression and quality-of-life scales.

Maternal morbidity and mortality associated with retroperitoneal haematomas in pregnancy.

Retroperitoneal haematomas in obstetrics are uncommon. The causes and pathogenesis of retroperitoneal haematomas lack clarity and the aim of this review is to recognise retroperitoneal haematomas as a separate entity from commonly seen vaginal and pelvic haematomas. It is time to raise awareness among obstetricians to recognise retroperitoneal haematomas as an important cause of maternal morbidity and mortality which requires high clinical suspicion and multidisciplinary input.

Effects of a workplace prevention programme for problem gambling: study protocol for a cluster randomised controlled trial.

Introduction: Despite being considered a public health problem, no prevention programme for problem gambling in workplace settings has been scientifically evaluated. This study aims to fill a critical gap in the field of problem gambling by implementing and evaluating a large-scale prevention programme in organisations.

Methods And Analysis: Ten organisations, with a total of n=549 managers and n=8572 employees, will be randomised to either receiving a prevention programme or to a waitlist control condition.

Endometriosis Nodule Causing Spontaneous Haemoperitoneum in Pregnancy: A Case Report and Literature Review.

Spontaneous haemoperitoneum in pregnancy (SHiP) due to endometriosis is a very rare condition and this is a case of a 41-year-old primigravida, who presented at 32 weeks with sudden onset of severe lower abdominal pain without any uterine activity. This was a dichorionic-diamniotic twin pregnancy, following in vitro fertilisation for subfertility secondary to severe endometriosis. On admission, pain score was eight, with ten being the maximum of the scale.
