Diagnosis of pelvic endometriosis with use of macroscopic versus histologic findings.

Objective: To obtain histologic confirmation of lesions suspected of endometriosis at laparoscopy.

Design: Prospective clinical study.

Setting: Patients in an academic hospital.

Laparoscopic assessment of the sentinel lymph nodes in early cervical cancer. Technique--preliminary results and future developments.

Laparoscopic assessment of the sentinel node (SN) in early stage cervical cancer is both feasible and safe. The technique is described. The data concerning the 70 first assessed patients are reported.
