Primary breast lymphoma (PBL) is a rare form of extranodal non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), whose own specific biological characteristics still need to be fully defined. No significant prognostic factor has been found and the optimal therapeutic strategy is uncertain. However, an intensified systemic therapy has been advocated to prevent relapse, even in patients who show a complete response to local treatment.

The study included 44 individuals with 75 unresectable liver metastases and no known extrahepatic disease. The median number of metastases treated for each patient was one, with a range of 1-4.
