[Nesidioblastosis in the adult: a case report].

Background: Nesidioblastosis is a rare cause of endocrine disease which represents between 0.5% - 5% of cases. This has been associated with other conditions, such as in patients previously treated with insulin or sulfonylurea, in anti-tumour activity in pancreatic tissue of patients with insulinoma, and in patients with other tumours of the Langerhans islet cells.
