Methods: A case-control study was conducted in 5 primary healthcare units, involving 107 subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus, 60 in the case group and 47 in the control group. Causality was determined by the association between sociodemographic and clinical factors, risk factors related to the nursing diagnosis, and the occurrence of unstable blood glucose level.

Despite the considerable advances in the last years, the health information systems for health surveillance still need to overcome some critical issues so that epidemic detection can be performed in real time. For instance, despite the efforts of the Brazilian Ministry of Health (MoH) to make COVID-19 data available during the pandemic, delays due to data entry and data availability posed an additional threat to disease monitoring. Here, we propose a complementary approach by using electronic medical records (EMRs) data collected in real time to generate a system to enable insights from the local health surveillance system personnel.

The present study shows the characterization of the bacterial communities associated with different systems during the cultivation of the microalga Tetradesmus obliquus. For that, sequential cultivation was performed in three different systems: (1) Photobioreactor bench-scale; (2) flat-panel photobioreactor; and (3) thin-layer cascade. Objectives: to describe a medium-range nursing theory for the cardiovascular rehabilitation process.
Methods: theoretical development study, addressing the elaboration of medium-range theory, based on Roy's Adaptation Model, which combined theoretical deduction with induction strategies, based on literature review and concept analysis.
Results: the Medium-Range Theory for Nursing in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation presents eleven concepts and respective definitions, organized in relationships that represent elements, through modeling and image representation.
Objective: to describe a guideline for the use of the Delphi method to evaluate nursing theories, from the perspective of internal validation.
Method: a methodological study, targeted at the development of a guideline for the use of the Delphi method in the evaluation of nursing theories.
Results: the Delphi method, principles of collective wisdom and levels of proficiency are used in the production of a guideline for organizing, searching, selecting and coordinating the activities of theoretical evaluators in teams.
