Factors related to occupational stress among private sector dentists in the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This cross-sectional study examined factors associated with occupational stress among 384 dentists working in the private sector in the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil. Data were collected from August to October 2020 through an online form. Two outcomes - (1) anxiety and worry and (2) preparation and safety for work during the pandemic - constituted a proxy for occupational stress.

[What does a 24-hour child and adolescent psychosocial care center do in the city of Curitiba, Brazil?].

The National Policy on Mental Health for Children and Adolescents is still poorly structured in Brazil. In general, it replicates the policy aimed at adults, which creates problems for its articulation with networks. The objective of this study was to analyze and describe the actions carried out at a 24-hour Child and Adolescent Psychosocial Care Center (CAPSi) with beds in the city of Curitiba, Brazil.

[The use of management contracts and professional incentives in the public health sector].

Results-based management is a cornerstone of reform in public administration, including the health field, and has become the basis for other innovations such as the institutionalization of management contracts and the use of professional incentives. This review article aims to introduce and discuss the use of such management contracts in the public health sector. Management by results has developed means and tools that highlight the importance of shared responsibility and mutual commitment between workers and management-level directors.

[The importance of the insertion of the nutritionist on the Family Health Strategy].

The Family Health Strategy has as its main purpose to reorganize the practice of attention to health in new bases and to substitute the traditional model existing in Brazil. The new curriculum guidelines to graduate health professionals propose a general formation as well as ethics, having as its main focus the largest approach to the local health services. However, Nutrition still does not present a regulation for an active participation in the Family Health Strategy.
