Olmesartan-induced enteropathy (OIE) is an emergent enteropathy related to this angiotensin II receptor blocker. Main clinical manifestation is chronic diarrhea and duodenal biopsy is characterized by villous atrophy. Therefore, it is necessary to exclude other causes of enteropathy such as celiac disease, autoimmune enteropathy, intestinal lymphoma, parasitic infections, immunodeficiencies, or Crohn disease.
