Purpose: To compare optical coherence tomography-measured Bruch membrane opening minimum rim width (MRW), peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (pRNFL) measurements, and MRW:pRNFL ratios in eyes with compressive optic neuropathy (CON) and glaucoma and controls, and evaluate the ability of these parameters to differentiate CON from glaucoma.
Design: Prospective, cross-sectional study.
Methods: Setting: Single-center tertiary hospital and outpatient clinic.

Purpose: To determine the effect of panretinal photocoagulation on optic disk topographic parameters in non-glaucomatous patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
Methods: This was a prospective, single-center, observational study. Thirty-eight eyes of 26 patients with diabetes underwent panretinal photocoagulation for proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
Background: Diabetic retinopathy is one of most common and threatening ocular diseases. Many of these patients need to be submitted to panretinal photocoagulation (PRP), experiencing a significant level of pain. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of oral metamizole in reducing pain during PRP in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) and very severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (VSNDR).

In this paper we report a patient presenting with dengue fever and bilateral acute visual loss caused by chiasmal compression due to Rathke's cleft cyst apoplexy. Considering the importance of early diagnosis and treatment to visual recovery, apoplexy of sellar and suprasellar tumors should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients with acute visual loss and dengue fever.
