Nursing competencies in aeromedical transport in the Brazilian Air Force: a descriptive study.

Objective: To analyze nursing skills in military aeromedical transport of the Brazilian Air Force.

Method: Descriptive, qualitative research, carried out in three Brazilian Air Force hospitals in Rio de Janeiro, involving 64 military nurses. Discursive textual analysis identified competencies in healthcare, communication and decision-making.

Recent advances in the treatment of pain in endometriosis: A bibliometric analysis of experimental models.

Background And Aim: Treatment of endometriosis involves pain relief which is achieved through the administration of analgesics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, with or without the addition of hormone therapy. At present, studies investigating endometriosis pain management using experimental rat models and the use of medications are scarce. Therefore, this study aimed to systematically evaluate research trends and critical points in the field of endometriosis pain management using experimental models.

Feasibility of Emergency Department-based Fentanyl Test Strip Distribution.

Objectives: United States drug overdose deaths now overwhelmingly involve fentanyl and fentanyl analogs. The emergency department (ED) is an important setting to provide harm reduction for persons who use drugs, but ED-based fentanyl test strip distribution has not yet been described.

Methods: This is an observational study of patients with an opioid-related visit to an ED in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
