To determine the potential value and suitability of Bishop-Koop procedure (BK) compared to divided stoma (DS) in neonates with meconium ileus (MI), congenital intestinal atresia (CIA), and necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).A retrospective data collection from 2000 to 2019 on neonates undergoing BK and DS formation and closure for MI, CIA, and NEC was conducted. This study aims to evaluate the success, safety, and complications leading to surgical revision or premature removal of TCVC in this particular patient group.
Methods: The clinical course of pediatric patients with percutaneous inserted TCVC, including Groshong (GC) and Hickman/Broviac (HB) catheters, has been analyzed retrospectively.
Septic rupture of the common carotid artery following total thyroidectomy may rapidly lead to exsanguination. We present a case report of a 16-year-old girl, diagnosed with a questionable thyroglossal duct cyst. Following the initial operative intervention with local excision of the cyst including resection of the medial part of the hyoid bone, pathology revealed papillary carcinoma.

We distinguished between patients with an above-knee plaster and those with a below-knee plaster after operation. We were able to measure blood flow velocity, transverse width of the deep femoral vein and the volume of flow in this vein.

Duplex ultrasonography allows the observations of blood flow velocity and flow volume during continuous movement of the devices. We tested two different CPM devices for ankle movement in a preclinical study on 10 healthy, uninjured people and saw the following changes in the deep venous system in the common femoral vein: after 5 min of motion the velocity of the venous reflow was increased to 112.
