Background: Insulin resistance and obesity present significant challenges in pediatric populations. Selenoprotein P1 (SEPP1) serves as a biomarker for assessing selenium levels in the body. While its association with metabolic syndrome is established in adults, its relevance in children remains underexplored.

Methods: Fifty MASLD patients and fifty healthy control participants were involved in this retrospective case-control research. Abdominal ultrasonography, fibroscan with controlled attenuated parameter scan (CAP scan), laboratory investigation (including fetuin-A assessment), clinical examination, and history-taking were performed on every case.

Objectives: To evaluate the bacterial biofilm's role in mucosal chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) utilizing scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
Methods: This study involved 123 participating patients with active and inactive mucosal CSOM who underwent tympanomastoid surgery. SEM was used to examine middle ear mucosa biopsies for the development of biofilms.
Background: Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a complex inflammatory disease with varied clinical characteristics. A pathognomonic characteristic of PsA is enthesitis. Entheseal inflammation ultimately leads to the production of new bone (enthesophytes).

This study aimed to evaluate the cardiac function in children with CD using two dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (2D-STE) to detect early myocardial dysfunction, if any. This cross-sectional study included 40 children with CD as the patient group and 40 healthy age- and sex-matched children served as the control group.

Our research study sought to provide insight into the function of β-glucan and/or fidarestat in modifying the microbiome/mitochondrial gut axis in the treatment of UC.

Irisin is a myokine with immuno-modulatory effect. Evaluation of irisin efficiency as a novel therapeutic agent in experimentally induced RA via modulating immuno-inflammatory, necroptotic molecular and biochemical signaling pathways.

Genotypes (CC, CG&GG) for hsa-mir-146a gene polymorphism were identified using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism PCR-RFLP technique.

We investigated physiological effects of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT) and Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) on human body, adopting the expression level of mitogen-activated protein kinases as an indicator via assessment of the activation levels of three major families of MAPKS, ERK, p38 and JNK in the peripheral lymphocytes of patients before and after the therapies. Assessment for the expression levels of MAPKs families' were done, in the peripheral lymphocytes of patients recently have appendectomy, using flow cytometric analysis of multiple signaling pathways, pre and post LLLT and PEMFT application (twice daily for 6 successive days) on the appendectomy wound.
