[Differential-diagnostic features of combined periapical lesions].

The paper describes specific correlation of the clinical and molecular pathogenic features in various types of combined periapical lesions. Endodontic apical lesions combined with periodontal disease are characterized by specific radiological signs, shifts in oral fluid physical and chemical properties, the disruption of nitrogen metabolism, increased iron concentration, collagen disruption and impaired concentration ratio of calcium and phosphorous. General depression of immunoglobulin synthesis and increased concentration of cortisol and estradiol in oral fluid are also typical features of combined periapical lesions.

[Phenotype characteristics of humoral immunity parameters in patients with chronic generalized periodontitis with different blood groups].

Interrelationships between parameters of humoral immunity with AB0 blood groups have been investigated. The highest content of IgA to transglutaminase was found in A(II) patients, while the lowest content was found in AB(IV) patients. The blood content on anti-gliadin IgA was higher in healthy donors.

[Impact of small molecules on intermolecular interactions underlying the ligand technologies in laboratory diagnosis].

Hydrogen peroxide has been found to have a distorting effect on the quality of determination of the serological markers of hepatitis B and C, transglutaminase antibodies: an increase in the percent of false higher (anti-HBsAg, HBeAg, anti-HCV) and false lower (anti-HBeAg) values, and on the results of PCR-based diagnosis (PCR inhibition that was more pronounced especially in low viremia). A possibility of interference of measurement results in the blood metabolite pool should be taken into account in the use of high-technology methods of laboratory analysis. In particular, there may be changes in the detection of immunological and molecular biological methods in hyperpyruvatemia and hyperoxaloacetatemia, with elevated peroxide concentrations during pathological processes.

[Mercurial pollution of air in Blagoveshensk (regional center of Amur area) and health of the citizens].

Total amount of natural and antropogenous mercury in ambient air of Blagoveshensk city, living area air, industrial spaces air exceeds the background values, but does not influence the level of bronchopulmonary diseases, gastro-intestinal and gall pathways disorders in children, adolescents and adults. Occupational intoxications and occupational diseases were not revealed in specialized chemical laboratory staffers.

[AB0 blood group-associated biological variability in the content of metabolites].

The performed studies provided new evidence for biological variability in clinically important analytes, estimated a possible association of the metabolic features and the conservative genetic attribute--the ABO blood group. Certain features in the levels of protein, carbohydrate, lipid, and mineral metabolic parameters were revealed in relation to various blood groups.

[Mercury pollution of the habitable area of the Amur Region and the endemia of tuberculosis].

Analysis of the 1991-2006 statistical data of the Amur Region has indicated that the prevalence of tuberculosis does not depend on the level of ambient air pollution, the total amount of mercury-containing pesticides introduced into the plough-lands, and the environmental emission of metallic mercury at gold mining. The established set and the level and ratio of major mineral and trace elements in the blood of healthy individuals are suggestive of their adaptation to the specific geochemical environment. The excess and deficiency of major mineral and trace elements in the blood of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis result from the occurring pathomorphological, pathophysiological, metabolic, and other disorders that hamper the excretion of toxicants.

[The role of small molecules in regulation of activity of cytoplasmatic dehydrogenases].

The influence of silistrong on the activity of erythrocyte cytoplasmatic dehydrogenases and also purified glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPH) was studied. Silistrong and its biologically active components (ethanol and silimarine) were found to activate GAPDH, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alpha-glycerophosphate dehydrogenase (GPDH) both in lysates of erythrocytes and in isolated GAPDH. The compounds studied are able to protect these enzymes and also to restore their activity of enzymes modified by hydrogen peroxide.

[Levels of unified metabolites and thyroid hormones in blood and oral fluid of children with minimal brain dysfunction].

Minimal brain dysfunctions in children with various perinatal complications are accompanied by metabolic imbalance manifested by decreased total protein content, the tendency to reduced triglycerides, increased cholesterol concentrations in the oral fluid, the trend to hypoproteinaemia, hypoglycaemia, hypotriglyceridaemia. The most significant changes in the redox systems alpha-ketoglutarate-glutamate, oxaloacetate-malate, pyruvate-lactate, dioxyacetone phosphate-alpha-glycerophosphate in biological fluids were revealed in cases of antenatal alcoholisation. A certain correlation was found between anemia in pregnant women and hypothyroidal background in children.

We are introduced the dates on an elemental compositional and physiochemical parameters of oil Silybum Marianum. In this assay we compare oil Silybum Varianum with the most widespread food oils. Presented perspectives of usage oil Silymum Marianym as the food and medical oil.

[The role of hyperlactatedehydrogenasemia in induction of metabolic disorders in the body].

The effect of intravenous administration of lactate dehydrogenase (5000 E/kg) on some metabolic parameters was investigated. The hyperenzymemia was accompanied by changes of metabolite content (glutamate, 2-oxoglutarate, lactate, dihydroxyacetone phosphate) and enzyme activities (aldolase, lactate dehydrogenase, transaminase) in heart, liver and skeletal muscles. Intravenously administered tritiated lactate dehydrogenase was preferentially found in skeletal muscles, liver, kidneys and some other organs.

[Effect of biologically active components of natursil on the course of reparative processes in the gastrointestinal mucosa in experiments and in patients with stomach and duodenal ulcers].

The outcomes, obtained in experiment, testify about high reparative ability of a natursilum. Natursilum has growth efficiency of conventional treatment of an ulcer of a stomach and duodenal intestine patients both on end results, and on terms of an adhesion increases. Is rotined, that natursilum has more expressed antiulcerous effect, than oil of hippopheae.

[Implantation with natursil as a method for repair of dental defects and normalization of oral homeostasis].

Parameters of homeostasis in the oral liquid during adentia, after implantation of titanium implants gated in generally accepted way and also with usage of natursilum from Silybum marianum were studied. Application of natursilum in surgery and in postoperative period promoted optimization of an implant osteointegration and normalized physicochemical and metabolic parameters of the oral liquid.

[Chronic fatigue syndrome:objective criteria of metabolic defects].

Multi-level system of defense mechanisms is studied in 206 normal subjects living in an ecologically unfavorable region and working at chemical plants. Control group consisted of 24 subjects living in en ecologically safe region. The content of total protein and albumin and its effective and binding capacity were decreased, while the content of medium molecular weight peptides increased in the blood of subjects exposed to technogenic environmental pollution.

[Biologically active additive from milk thistle in the solution of public health problems].

Influence of bioactive additions from natural vegetable raw materials--silybum marianum--in the content of bread products on health and metabolism was studied. It is shown bread products with silybum marianum to be effective medicine with general restorative influence, increasing internal protection resources, capacity for work and vital activity.

[Key mechanisms of damage and adaptation in the body under the multi-factoral effect of ecotoxicants].

Toxicants, that are present in chemical productions, influence functioning of protective mechanisms of the workers. The examined people have an increased content of the average molecular mass oligopeptides, changed ionic molecular composition of blood. Antioxidant protection with catalase participation is high.

[The oxidative metabolic systems of the liver in exposure to maninil and obzidan].

The effects of maninile and obsidan and their combined action on metabolic processes were studied in a series of in vitro experiments. The metabolic processes serve as a prerequisite to energy supply and couple the anabolic and catabolic pathways of hepatic metabolism. The rate of aerobic and anaerobic oxidation of glucose was shown to decrease when maninile was in close contact with liver tissue.

[Features of metabolism of the human myocardium during alcoholic intoxication].

Systems of alcohol oxidation, malate-aspartate shunt, content of total and alpha-cholesterols in heart muscle and blood as well as morphometry of aorta were studied. The tissues investigated were obtained post mortem in lethal traumatic injury accompanied by increased content of ethanol in blood. The potentiating effect of alcoholization on atherogenesis was not found.

[The modelling of hyperfermentemia--a method for studying the mechanisms of the formation of metabolic disorders].

The model of hyperenzymia caused by injection of lactate dehydrogenase (5000 U/kg body weight) causes an increase of NADP.H-dependent oxidation in liver microsomes, without changing oxidative intensity in mitochondria, by such NAD.H-depended dehydrogenases as glutamate dehydrogenase and beta-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase.

[Structure-activity features of malate dehydrogenase from human myocardium in atherosclerosis].

A homogeneous preparation of malate dehydrogenase was obtained from human myocardium, the enzyme structure-functional properties were studied. Alterations in structure characteristics of the enzyme, increase in its hydrophobic moiety, decrease of the enzyme activity were observed during impairments in atherosclerosis. The alterations of the enzyme properties appear to be involved in deterioration of energy metabolism as well as they are related to activation of liposynthesis in atherosclerosis.

[The mineral element content of the blood in healthy persons living in regions of endemic goiter and Urov (Kashin-Bek) disease].

Atomic-absorption spectrophotometry was used to study blood sera of 135 healthy people aged 18 to 60 years, living under the conditions of continental climate with trace elements and iodine deficiency in the environment. The changes in the content of minerals in the peripheral blood were discovered to be related to the age, characterized in most cases by a decrease of their content with age. The data given in the paper confirm the reduction of trace elements to the lower limits of normal in all the age groups living in the Western regions of this country.
