The histone-lysine N-methyltransferase 2D (KMT2D), tumor suppressor gene which is the major component of histone H3K4 mono-methyltransferase in mammals and has significant role in regulation of a gene which are frequently mutated that lead to many different types of cancers that include non-Hodgkin lymphoma, medulloblastoma, prostate carcinoma, renal carcinoma, bladder carcinoma and lung carcinoma. KMT2D gene epigenetic alterations in histone methylation play a significant role for the initiation and progression of cancers from pre-cancerous lesions, yet its complete function in oncogenesis remains unsolved. KMT2D deficiency - loss are thought of initial mediators of cancer development and cell migration such as B-cell lymphoma, medulloblastoma, melanoma, pancreas and lung cancer.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are excellent candidates for a range of applications because of their numerous advantages, such as high surface area, porosity, and thermal and chemical stability. In this study, microwave (MW) irradiation is used as a novel stimulus in vitro controlled release of Doxorubicin (DOX) from two MOFs, namely Fe-BTC and MIL-53(Al), to enhance drug delivery in cancer therapy. DOX was encapsulated into Fe-BTC and MIL-53(Al) with drug-loading efficiencies of up to 67% for Fe-BTC and 40% for MIL-53(Al).

This study focuses on the development of antimicrobial fibres for use in medical and healthcare textile industries. Novel nanocomposites of reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-Fe3O4, denoted as 'rGO:IO, and nitrogen doped rGO-ε-Fe3N, denoted as 'NrGO:IN', were prepared by a modified polyol method, wherein both the reduction of graphene oxide and oxidation of Fe2+/Fe3+ ions occurred simultaneously, followed by ammonia nitridation. The electron microscopy analysis of the rGO:IO and NrGO:IN nanocomposites revealed unique morphologies. In rGO:IO, the Fe3O4 nanoparticles having a mean diameter of 38 nm were found to be uniformly anchored to the rGO sheet surface, whereas in NrGO:IN, the ε-Fe3N nanoparticles (∼150 nm) were shielded by the NrGO sheets.

The platelet count, mean platelet volume, and other hematological parameters were compared in blood samples anticoagulated with MgSO and EDTA. A total of 15 samples were taken, and the platelet counts were observed to be significantly high in MgSO-anticoagulated blood samples ranging from 53 × 10 to 499 × 10/μL, whereas in EDTA-anticoagulated blood samples, the counts ranged from 10 × 10 to 353 × 10/μL. Targeting the discovery of novel natural products, the roots of Dalbergia spinosa Roxb has yielded a new isoflavone apioglycoside, 5-hydroxy-6-methoxy- 3',4'-methylenedioxy-7-[(6-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl) oxy]isoflavone (dalspinin-7-O-β-D-[apiofuranosy (1-->6)] glucopyranoside) (1), together with the known isoflavones, dalspinin (2), dalspinosin (3) and caviunin (4). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectral and chemical evidence. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of the occurrence of an apioglucoside of dalspinin in Nature.
