Objectives: To assess differences in willingness to vaccinate children against COVID-19, and factors that may be associated with increased acceptance, among US caregivers of various racial and ethnic identities who presented with their child to the Emergency Department (ED) after emergency use authorization of vaccines for children ages 5-11.
Study Design: A multicenter, cross-sectional survey of caregivers presenting to 11 pediatric EDs in the United States in November-December 2021. Caregivers were asked about their identified race and ethnicity and if they planned to vaccinate their child.
Objectives: Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) including physical, emotional, or sexual abuse; neglect; and/or exposure to household instability have been associated with adult emergency department utilization, but the impact of parental ACEs on pediatric emergency department (PED) utilization has not been studied. The primary aim was to determine if parental ACEs impact resource utilization as measured by (1) frequency of PED utilization, (2) acuity of PED visits, and (3) 72-hour PED return rates. The secondary aim was to determine if resilience interacts with the impact of parental ACEs on PED utilization.

We aimed to determine caregiver acceptability of COVID-19 vaccine mandates for schools/daycares and assess if opposition to mandates would result in removal of children from the educational system.
Study Design: Perform a cross-sectional, anonymous survey of adult caregivers with children ≤ 18 years presenting to 21 pediatric emergency departments in the United States, Canada, Israel, and Switzerland, November 1st through December 31st, 2021.
Background And Objectives: Paging is a primary mode of communication in hospitals, but message quality varies. With this project, we aimed to standardize paging, thus improving end user (EU) satisfaction, patient safety, and efficiency. Objectives were to increase the percent of pages containing 6 critical elements (CEs) (ie, the sender's first and last name, a 7-digit callback number, patient name, room number, and urgency indicator [information only, call, or come] to 90%); improve EU satisfaction to 80% rating paging communication as good or excellent; and decrease the frequency of safety events related to paging.
