Background: Inhalers are widely used for the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. However, there is little knowledge about the extent to which an inhaler is used and when it is disposed of, despite the implications for an individual's health (when used beyond the recommended number of doses (overused)), and medicine wastage, healthcare costs and the environment (when discarded with remaining doses (underused)). To explore inhaler use, we assessed the number of doses remaining in pressurised metered-dose inhalers (pMDIs) returned via a Chiesi Inhaler Recycling scheme.

However, there is a lack of clarity surrounding inhaler resistance and how it impacts inhaler selection. The most common inhaler types are dry powder inhalers (DPIs) that have internal resistance and pressurised metered dose inhalers (pMDIs) that use propellants to deliver the drug dose to the airways.

Since then, many countries worldwide have utilized the successful USA physician assistant model as a benchmark to guide both physician assistant training and the incorporation of the role into their healthcare systems. Purpose: With children who are unable to stand or walk independently in the community, therapists commonly use standing devices to assist lower-extremity weight-bearing which is important for bone and muscle health. In addition, positioning in hip abduction may improve hip stability and range of motion. This is the first study to explore the effect of angle of inclination, hip abduction, body orientation, and tone on weight-bearing in pediatric standing devices.

European guidelines recommend the dose and method of surfactant administration. However, in routine practice, clinicians often use a 'whole vial' approach to surfactant dosing.

It is characterised by chylomicronaemia, severe hypertriglyceridaemia and an increased risk of recurrent pancreatitis that often requires hospitalisation. This research aimed to improve our understanding of the debilitating impact that LPLD has on the daily lives of patients and their families.
