Objectives: To map the context of sedentary behaviour in older adults who are prefrail and frail during the winter and spring over 3 days (2 weekdays and 1 weekend) and to determine if certain types of sedentary behaviours are associated with health outcomes.
Design: Mixed methods, prospective longitudinal cohort study.
Setting: Community-dwelling older adults living in southern Ontario, Canada.
Aims: Chagas disease (ChD) affects approximately 7 million people in Latin America, with benznidazole being the most commonly used treatment.
Methods: Data from a retrospective cohort study in Argentina, covering January 1980 to July 2019, was reanalysed to identify and characterize benznidazole-related adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
Results: The study included 518 patients: 449 children and 69 adults (median age in children: 4 years; adults: 25 years; age ranges: 1 month-17.
Older adults who are frail are one of the most sedentary and the least physically active age groups. Prolonged sedentary time is associated with increased risk of negative health outcomes. To help design effective and sustainable content and optimize the uptake of sedentary behaviour interventions, an in-depth understanding of older adults' perceptions of sedentary behaviour is needed; however, most qualitative studies have been conducted in healthy older adults.

Objectives: We aimed to compare obstetric history, antiphospholipid antibody profiles, obstetric and thromboembolic complications, and pregnancy outcomes between TAPS and OAPS.
Older adults who are frail are likely to be sedentary. Prior interventions to reduce sedentary time in older adults have not been effective as there is little research about the context of sedentary behaviour (posture, location, purpose, social environment). Moreover, there is limited evidence on feasible measures to assess context of sedentary behaviour in older adults.

Objective: Triplet gestations are associated with increased maternal, fetal, and neonatal complications particularly early and extreme preterm delivery. Identifying and interrupting the preterm delivery cascade could prevent the fetal, neonatal, and long-term childhood complications. The shared circulation and placental vascular anastomosis are responsible for the occurrence of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, selective fetal growth restriction as well as the higher risk of morbidity and mortality observed in mono and dichorionic compared to trichorionic triplet gestations.

In this new entity, the virus may contribute to a tolerogenic microenvironment. Traces of the virus have been described in DLBCL with more sensitive methods, in cases that were originally diagnosed as negative.

Treatment with benznidazole (BZ) or nifurtimox (NF) for 60 days in girls and women of childbearing age showed to be effective in preventing mother to child transmission of this disease.

Multicomponent interventions could potentially prevent or reduce the risk of becoming frail; however, there is limited evidence about utilizing alternative modes of delivery where access to in-person care may be challenging. This randomized feasibility trial aimed to understand how a multicomponent rehabilitation program can be delivered remotely to vulnerable older adults with frailty during the pandemic.

Treatment with fresh frozen plasma (FFP) mitigates the risk in some women, but others respond poorly and continue to suffer obstetric complications.
Objectives: To determine a possible association between SOM and elevated nonpregnant von Willebrand factor (NPVWF) antigen levels in women with hTTP and whether the latter can predict the response to FFP transfusion.
Due to the shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic, the interest and demand for sterilization devices to reuse PPE has increased. For reuse of face masks, they must be effectively decontaminated of potential infectious agents without compromising its filtration ability during sterilization. In this study, we utilized an atmospheric pressure pulsed dielectric barrier discharge (DBD), combined with nebulized liquid microdroplets to generate plasma-activated mist (PAM).

Objectives: To report experience with three main high-dose methotrexate (HDMTX)-based protocols for PCNSL treatment at one medical center.
This article describes the development of an advanced practice RN (APRN) council in a large hospital network. Despite obstacles, the council was able to demonstrate positive outcomes, which include standardization of the credentialing and onboarding process, productive networking, and an APRN-oriented education fair. The council has been able to guide workplace culture, establish and support vertical and horizontal interprofessional relationships, provide recommendations to relevant leadership boards, and develop standardized procedures.

We adopt a social identity approach to develop an understanding of the ways in which social identity dynamics may impact upon peoples' experiences of regeneration, and what influence these identity processes have on the creation of new communities. Qualitative interviews, using thematic analysis as an analytic technique, were conducted with community members (n = 14) in a recently (2001-2011) regenerated area in the South-West of England.

We addressed how iron affects inflammatory hepcidin levels and the ensuing hypoferremic response. Dietary iron overload did not mitigate hepcidin induction in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-treated wild type mice but prevented effective inflammatory hypoferremia.

Preliminary evidence suggests that such association may be plausible. The objectives of this study were to determine: 1) The association between severe maternal infectious morbidity and adverse pregnancy outcome; and 2) The effect of maternal infection during pregnancy on fetal growth.

Patient selection that minimizes adjuvant treatment is valuable. We compared two methods for predicting postoperative adjuvant treatment of women with tumor size ≥2 cm and <4 cm.

Destructive winds, violent storm waves, and intense rainfall occurred in Japan, on the Korean Peninsula, and in Far-Eastern Russia. Devastating coastal floods caused severe damage to coastal infrastructure and to ships and boats anchored in harbours and were responsible for numerous deaths.

Various obstetrical disorders can present with DIC as a complication; thus, increased awareness is key to diagnosing the condition. DIC patients can present to clinicians who may not be experienced in a variety of aspects of thrombosis and hemostasis.

These organelles enable the spatiotemporal associations of cellular components that exchange dynamically with the cellular milieu. The dysregulation of these liquid-liquid phase separation processes (LLPS) may cause various diseases including neurodegenerative pathologies and cancer, among others.

Hypoglycemia can be life-threatening, leading to loss of consciousness, and requiring emergency glucagon to reverse the effects.
