- The study examines the link between perinatal asphyxia and the occurrence of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) in newborns, aiming to identify how often AKI happens in cases of birth asphyxia and the eventual outcomes for those affected.
- Conducted over six months, the research included 111 newborns who experienced birth asphyxia but excluded those with known factors that could also cause AKI, such as maternal health issues or congenital anomalies.
- Results revealed that 18.02% of the newborns developed AKI, with only 35% recovering completely, while 65% of the affected infants ultimately died.

The execution of a literature search is not beneficial unless researchers possess basic knowledge about it. In this article, all basic strategies and research tools essentially required for a literature search, including Boolean operators, correct use of keywords, database selection, and the evaluation of filtered data and limitations, are discussed.
