The aim of this study was to investigate the musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) features of the Achilles tendon in chronic HD patients and determine the factors associated with tendon abnormalities. : This study was conducted on 46 HD patients and 24 sex- and age-matched controls.

Adynamic bone (ADB) is characterized by suppressed bone formation, low cellularity, and thin osteoid seams. There is accumulating evidence supporting increasing prevalence of ADB, particularly in early CKD.

Femoral vein catheters may also sometimes be needed.
