Background: Premature ejaculation (PE) is a common sexual dysfunction for which selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) have been used effectively for treatment. However, compliance with therapy and predictors of long-term SSRI use in the treatment of PE are not well known.
Aim: To analyze our experience with drop-out rates with fluoxetine in the primary PE population and to identify predictors of continued use of this agent.
Introduction: Plaque incision and grafting (PIG) for Peyronie's disease (PD) is not devoid of complications such as erectile dysfunction and penile sensory changes.
Aim: To define the rate and chronology of penile sensation loss after PIG surgery and to define predictors of such.
Methods: The study population consisted of patients with PD-associated penile curvature who underwent PIG surgery with at least 6 months of follow-up.
Introduction: Despite the high satisfaction with penile implant (PI) surgery reported in the literature, a significant proportion of patients remain dissatisfied.
Aim: To evaluate satisfaction after PI surgery, using a single question and a scoring system. Furthermore, we attempted to define factors that predicted high patient satisfaction.
Introduction: Male stress urinary incontinence (SUI) after radical prostatectomy (RP) is common. The surgical standard of care traditionally has been placement of an artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) but since its introduction the transobturator male sling has been shown to have particular unique advantages. Our aim was to assess outcomes of a consecutive series of suburethral sling insertions in men presenting with all degrees of post RP SUI.

Patients And Methods: We conducted a multicentre prospective study including all patients undergoing penile implant surgery between 2009 and 2015. Preoperative, perioperative and postoperative management were identical for the entire cohort.
Azoospermia, the absence of any sperm cells from the ejaculated semen, poses a real challenge to the fertility urologist. While there are options to create happy families for azoospermic couples, such as the use of donor sperm and adoption, most couples still want to have genetically related offspring. Advances in urology, gynecology, and fertility laboratory technologies allow surgical sperm retrieval in azoospermic men and achievement of live births for many, but not all azoospermic couples.

Aim: To investigate the success rate and predictive factors affecting the outcome of CT in PI infection patients.
Objective: To study the unique characteristics of erectile dysfunction (ED) in a population of men who developed ED after testicular cancer (TC) diagnosis and treatment.
Patients And Methods: All men treated for TC who presented for sexual function evaluation were included in an institutional database. All men underwent standard evaluation including a history/physical examination, completion of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) questionnaire, testosterone/gonadotropin measurement and penile duplex Doppler ultrasonography (DUS).
Introduction: Intracavernosal injection (ICI) therapy is a well-recognized treatment strategy with high success rates for men with erectile dysfunction. Despite this, injection anxiety and pain related to injection are significant barriers to its use.
Aims: This study aims to examine injection anxiety and injection pain in patients using ICI.
Take Home Message: The administration of phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor commencing at the time of castration might preserve erectile function.
Objective: To determine if sildenafil citrate treatment could improve erectile function after castration. To determine if sildenafil citrate treatment reduces collagenisation and apoptosis in erectile tissue after castration.
Background And Purpose: In the era of rigid ureteroscopy (URS) for ureteral stones, asymptomatic renal stones were often left in place. With the advent of flexible URS, however, the treatment of such renal stones became an attractive option. Data are scarce regarding the impact of retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) performed at the time of URS for a symptomatic ureteral stone in comparison with ureteral stone removal alone.

Material And Methods: Archived pathology specimens from 145 patients treated by radical orchiectomy for testicular germ cell tumors at our institution in 1995-2006 were reanalyzed by a dedicated urologic pathologist, and the corresponding medical records were reviewed. The association of lymphovascular invasion with clinical and pathological parameters was tested using stepwise logistic regression analysis.
Purpose: Urostomy care requires manual skills and emotional adaptation. We identified predictors of self-stomal care and their impact on quality of life after urostomy creation in patients with an ileal conduit.
Materials And Methods: A telephone questionnaire was administered to patients treated with urostomy creation in 2005 to 2010.
Unlabelled: Study Type - Therapy (case series) Level of Evidence 4. What's known on the subject? and What does the study add? Hypogonadism is a prevalent problem, increasing in frequency as men age. It is most commonly treated by testosterone supplementation therapy but in younger patients this can lead to testicular atrophy with subsequent exogenous testosterone dependency and may impair spermatogenesis.

Aim: To investigate the characteristics of PD in teenagers.
Methods: The findings were compared between patients with the disease who were teenagers with those over 40 years of age.
Objective: To present a single-question institutional erectile function scale, which was developed at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) before the availability of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF), and to compare its performance with the IIEF. Erectile function status assessment after radical prostatectomy is a significant challenge both for research purposes and in clinical practice. Recently, there has been a shift away from complex questionnaire use such as the IIEF and regression to single-item assessment of erectile function.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to present our experience with treatment of ICVL with CLS.
Methods: All patients underwent preoperative cavernosometry.
Introduction: Despite a growing body of evidence supporting erectile function (EF) rehabilitation after radical prostatectomy (RP), there are no guidelines on this subject.
Aim: To explore EF rehabilitation practice patterns of American Urological Association (AUA) urologists.
Methods: A 35-question instrument was constructed assessing physician demographics, training, and EF rehabilitation practices after RP, and was e-mailed to AUA members by the AUA Office of Education.
Introduction: Prostate cancer treatments, including radical prostatectomy (RP) and radiotherapy (RT), may adversely affect erectile function. Penile implant surgery is a well-recognized erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment for prostate cancer survivors who wish to remain sexually active and in whom nonsurgical treatments are ineffective or unpalatable.
Aim: To describe the utilization of penile implants after RP or RT for prostate cancer and to identify predictors of such use.
Introduction: Both prostate cancer and Peyronie's disease (PD) are prevalent in men after their fifth decade of life. The evidence to support or refute a link between radical prostatectomy (RP) and PD is limited.
Aims: To define the incidence of PD in men who had RP and determine possible predictors of PD development after RP.
Introduction: A variety of surgical techniques to correct congenital penile deviation (CPD) have been described. Although surgical outcomes have been reported, the impact of this treatment on sexual relationship, confidence, self-esteem, and sexual function has never been established.
Aim: To assess the impact of surgical treatment for CPD on sexual relationship, confidence, self-esteem, and sexual function, employing validated instruments.
Background: The management of localized prostate cancer in patients with large prostates is controversial.
Objectives: To investigate the impact of prostate weight on radical prostatectomy outcomes.
Methods: The files of 244 patients who underwent radical prostatectomy were reviewed.
Introduction: Given that regular nocturnal erections are physiological, it has been suggested that erections are pivotal to the maintenance of erectile tissue health. It has been postulated that a critical element to erectile tissue protection is cavernosal oxygenation. It is accepted that the corpora cavernosa are oxygenated fully during a rigid erection.
