Authors studied 85 patients, aged from 45 to 68 years, suffered from obesity (stage I and stage II) for more than 5 years with concomitant arterial hypertension and atherosclerosis. Patients were randomized into two groups. Patients of the main group received transcranial stimulation (TS) along with standard treatment with antiaggregant vascular drugs and hypocaloric diet.

The objective of the study was to work out a method of color and rhythm therapy (CRT) for correction of mental and autonomic disorders in children with diabetes mellitus type I. The elaboration of the method was based on the results of examination of 62 patients, aged 7-16 years. In addition, a psychometric assessment of anxiety (the Spielberger-Khanin test), stress resistance and communicative abilities (the Luscher color test), depression (the scale of Saint-Petersburg Bekhterev's Psychoneurological Research Institute) and autonomic dysfunctions (the Vein's questionnaire) was performed.

Correction of psychoemotional and autonomic disturbances in children 7-17 years old with diabetes mellitus type 1 was conducted using transcranial magnetic electro-stimulation with alternate action on brain hemispheres (main group, 42 patients). The method includes the combined action of magnetic field pulses and series of electric impulses; magnetic and electric stimulation were performed synchronously - at first, on one brain hemisphere, then on another hemisphere with alternation frequency 9.5-10.

The results of the treatment of 38 children (6 boys and 32 girls, age 6-14 years) with chronic pyelonephritis and/or cystitis complicated with neurogenic dysfunction of the urinary bladder (NDUB) and/or vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) of the first-third degree demonstrate efficacy of intravesical electrostimulation (IVES) and adrenal magnetotherapy. IVES was conducted with high-frequency current impulses (2.2 kHz) by means of INTRASTIM attachment to the device AMUS-01-INTRAMAG in the region of the urethrovesical anastomosis via solution of the drugs for instillation.

A total of 98 women presenting with pelvic pain syndrome of different etiology (inflammatory diseases of small pelvic organs following surgical interventions, dysmenorrhoea, ovulatory syndrome) were enrolled in this study with an object of estimating the efficacy of the combined central and local application of physiotherapeutic techniques. An AVIM-1 apparatus was used to cause vibration in and apply a magnetic field to the perineal region. Transcranial magnetotherapy and electrostimulation were applied centrally using an AMO-ATOS-E device.

A total of 86 females with interstitial cystitis (IC) aged 26-52 years with the disease history over 2.7 years were exposed to intravesical electrostimulation in combination with electromagnetophoresis of heparin-containing mixture of medicines. Relief of pain syndrome and elimination of central hypersensitization were achieved with local procedures on the urinary bladder (UB) alternating (every other day) with procedures of transcranial electrostimulation (TES-therapy, mesodiencephalic modulation).

The objective of the present study was to develop a rationale for the local treatment of chronic recurring cystitis in the postmenopausel period. To this effect, 76 patients at the mean age of 66.4 years with this pathology were examined and the data obtained were compared with observations of control postmenopausel women receiving traditional local substitution hormonal therapy.

We assessed the state of the autonomic nervous system in 90 children with diabetes mellitus type I. The autonomic dysfunction syndrome was found in 58,9% and diabetic cardiac autonomic neuropathy in 28,9% of patients. We revealed the high risk of the development of diabetic cardiac autonomic neuropathy in children with diabetes mellitus type I in the presence of the autonomic dysfunction syndrome.

High-frequency intravesical electroneurostimulation was made simultaneously with magnetophoresis of the mixture based on oxibutinin. Compared to effects of oral intake of oxibutinin, such method was two times more effective in relation to overactive bladder symptoms relief in shorter duration of the treatment and reduced side effects. Laser Doppler flowmetry discovered that the above combined treatment corrects microcirculation in bladder mucosa.

Sixty eight postmenopausal women with chronic recurrent cystitis received local antibacterial treatment consisting in bladder ionophoresis and vaginal exposure to estrogens and vibromagnetic action of RECTOMASSAGER attachment and AMUS-01-INTRAMAG device. This local treatment proved superior to systemic one as 1-year follow-up registered a 3.1-fold reduction in recurrence rate vs control patients.

An original combined treatment of obese patients with erectile dysfunction including transcranial magnetotherapy and transabdominal electrostimulation in the region of fat deposit for 6 months reduces body weight by up to 17% and elevates testosterone by up to 29%. Erectile function improved to normal in 31.8% patients.

A study of psychoemotional, autonomous and cognitive parameters revealed disturbances of the functional state of the central and autonomous nervous system in 75% of children with diabetes mellitus type I. The application of transcranial methods (transcranial electrostimulation (TES) and transcranial magnetic therapy (TcMT) demonstrated the high effectiveness in relation to the cerebral disturbances. The significant improvement was noted in 71.

This comparative study was designed to evaluate effect of low-intensity speckle laser radiation in the green and red wavelengths on intraocular hemodynamics in 202 patients (202 eyes) with retinal vascular problems and without them. Irradiation was performed using "Izumrud" and "Rubin" adapters for an AMO-ATOS unit. Peak systolic velocity and peripheral resistance index in posterior short ciliary arteries and central retinal artery were measured.

The objective of the present study was to evaluate therapeutic efficiency of transcranial magnetotherapy (TcMT) and electric stimulation (ES) included in the combined treatment of 143 patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) and abdominal obesity. The majority of the patients had waist circumference over 102 cm. An AMO-ATOS complex was used to stimulate the hypothalamic region and other brain structures.

Combined treatment of patients with chronic abacterial prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome including vibrothermomagnetic impacts on the perineum from the device AVIM-1 proved effective in relation to all aspects of the disease pathogenesis. The comfort and simple conduction of the procedures make the device use perspective not only in the treatment but also for prophylaxis of exacerbations.

This study included 45 children at the age from 5 to 17 years with type I diabetes mellitus complicated by diabetic retinopathy. All the patients showed retinal thickening at the macula and reduced amplitude of local electroretinogram suggesting compromised capillary circulation. The capillary blood flow was corrected by transcranial magnetotherapy with the use of an AMO-ATOS Ogolovie unit.

Fifty-four abstinent alcohol-dependent patients have been studied. Twenty-nine patients (a main group) received, along with basic therapy, a physiotherapeutic treatment (transcranial dynamic magnetic therapy) and 25 patients (a control group) received only basic therapy. The comparison of the efficacy of treatment in patients of the main and control groups revealed the benefits of transcranial dynamic magnetic therapy in CNS function, performance on memory and attention tests, state of autonomic nervous system and psychoemotional state of patients (the reduction of anxiety and depression).
