Background: Although the benefit of supportive care in the postcancer period is now well demonstrated, its implementation in the patient journey remains challenging. This article describes the development, since 2015 and in routine care, of supportive postcancer care comprising a multidisciplinary rehabilitation programme (MRP) based on exercise for patients with early breast cancer.
Methods: As part of quality control, we reviewed all patient files since the programme was implemented.
Senna is a medicinal herb commonly used as a laxative and dietary aid for weight loss. Repeated consumption of Senna may lead to persistent diarrhea. Furthermore, cases of acute liver failure and hepato-encephalopathic syndrome after chronic Senna ingestion were reported in literature.

Objectives: Determine the overall prevalence of complications of tracheal stenting in dogs.
Methods: A bibliographic search was performed of publications from 2000 to 2020.
Purpose: The severity of bleeding events is heterogeneously defined during peripheral veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (pVA-ECMO). We studied three bleeding definitions in pVA-ECMO: the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO)-serious bleeding, the Bleeding Academic Research Consortium (BARC), and the universal definition of postoperative bleeding (UPDB) classifications.
Methods: We included consecutive adult patients supported by pVA-ECMO for refractory cardiogenic shock admitted to Lille academic hospitals between January 2013 and December 2019.
Background: Lung cancer is more common in posttransplant recipients than in the general population. The objective of this study was to examine the chimerism donor/recipient cell origin of graft cancer in recipients of lung transplant.
Methods: A retrospective chart review was conducted at Foch Hospital for all lung transplantations from 1989 to 2020.
Background: Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR)-mediated signalling contributes to andgiogenesis and therapy resistance in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Ramucirumab (RAM) is a VEGFR2 monoclonal antibody. We conducted a randomised phase II trial to compare progression-free survival (PFS) between mFOLFIRINOX with or without RAM in first line therapy of metastatic PDAC.

The main objective was to create and validate a tool to raise awareness about blood donation that meets acceptability and preference criteria and is applicable in general practice.
Material And Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in three phases.
Objective: To report a surgical technique for pancreaticoduodenostomy and its outcomes in a cat.
Animals: A 14-year-old domestic cat.
Study Design: Case report.
Background: The mortality rate for a patient with a refractory cardiogenic shock on venoarterial (VA) extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) remains high, and hyperoxia might worsen this prognosis. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the association between hyperoxia and 28-day mortality in this setting.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective bicenter study in two French academic centers.
Background: Cerebral microbleeds (CMBs) have been observed in healthy elderly people undergoing systematic brain magnetic resonance imaging. The potential role of acute triggers on the appearance of CMBs remains unknown. We aimed to describe the incidence of new CMBs after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and to identify clinical and procedural factors associated with new CMBs including hemostatic measures and anticoagulation management.

The aim of this study was to describe our long-term experience with this technique and the predictive factors of late failure.
Methods: Between January 1998 and August 2019, 300 consecutive patients underwent a David procedure.
G protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs) are involved in regulation of manifold physiological processes through coupling to heterotrimeric G proteins upon ligand stimulation. Classical therapeutically active drugs simultaneously initiate several downstream signaling pathways, whereas biased ligands, which stabilize subsets of receptor conformations, elicit more selective signaling. This concept of functional selectivity of a ligand has emerged as an interesting property for the development of new therapeutic molecules.

This paper addresses compound urban crises as a unique type of problem, in which discrete solutions that tackle each crisis independently are insufficient. Few scholarly debates address compound urban crises and there is, to date, a lack of interdisciplinary insights to inform urban governance responses.

We aimed to compare the effectiveness of subclavian cannulation to femoral cannulation in reducing LV overdistension consequences, hemostatic complications and mortality.
Methods: This retrospective study conducted in two intensive care units of the Lille academic hospitals from January 2013 to December 2019 included 372 non-moribund adult patients supported by VA-ECMO.
We report an original alkane elimination approach, entailing the protonolysis of triisobutylaluminum by the acidic hydrides from Cp*IrH. This strategy allows access to a series of well-defined tri- and tetranuclear iridium aluminum polyhydride clusters, depending on the stoichiometry: [Cp*IrHAl(Bu)] (), [Cp*IrHAl(Bu)] (), [(Cp*IrH)Al(Bu)] (), and [(Cp*IrH)Al] (). Contrary to most transition-metal aluminohydride complexes, which can be considered as [AlH] aluminates and LnM moieties, the situation here is reversed: These complexes have original structures that are best described as [Cp*IrH] iridate units surrounding cationic Al(III) fragments.

Building upon an interest in tailoring antiretroviral therapy (ART) delivery for client-centered needs, the Ministry of Health and Population in Haiti formally endorsed multiple-month dispenses (MMD) in the 2016 national ART guidelines This study explores heterogeneity in retention in care with MMD for specific Haitian populations living with HIV and evaluates if a targeted algorithm for optimal ART prescription intervals is warranted in Haiti.
Methods: This study included ART-naïve individuals who started ART on or after January 1st, 2017 in Haiti.
Rev Panam Salud Publica
November 2021
Objective: To describe trends in timing of ART initiation for newly diagnosed people living with HIV before and after Haiti adopted its Test and Start policy for universal HIV antiretroviral therapy (ART) in July 2016, and to explore predictors of timely ART initiation for both newly and previously diagnosed people living with HIV following Test and Start adoption.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study explored timing of ART initiation among 147 900 patients diagnosed with HIV at 94 ART clinics in 2004-2018 using secondary electronic medical record data. The study used survival analysis methods to assess time trends and risk factors for ART initiation.
Background: Multi-month dispensing (MMD) for antiretroviral therapy (ART) is a promising care strategy to improve HIV treatment adherence. The effectiveness of MMD in routine settings has not yet been evaluated within a causal inference framework. We analyzed data from a robust clinical data system to evaluate MMD in Haiti.

We further investigated their association with serious bleeding and thrombotic complications.
Methods: This retrospective single-center study included 265 adults supported by VA-ECMO for refractory cardiogenic shock from January 2015 to June 2019.
Background: Transfemoral percutaneous transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TF-TAVI) is a safe, reproducible and established procedure, mainly performed under local anaesthesia, which is mostly administered and monitored by a dedicated anaesthesia team (regular approach). Our centre has developed a standardized pathway of care, and eligible patients are selected for a minimalist TF-TAVI, entirely managed by operators without the presence of the anaesthesia team in the operating room, like most interventional coronary procedures ("percutaneous coronary intervention-like" approach [PCI approach]).
Aim: To compare the safety and efficacy of TF-TAVI performed with the PCI approach versus the regular approach.
Objective: Myocardial injury after non-cardiac surgery (MINS) is an independent predictor of post-operative mortality in non-cardiac surgery patients and may increase health costs. Few data are available for MINS in vascular surgery patients, in general, and those undergoing fenestrated/branched endovascular aortic repairs (F/BEVAR), in particular. The incidence of MINS after F/BEVAR, the associated risk factors, and prognosis have not been determined.
