Infants diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) frequently harbor cytogenetically cryptic fusions involving KMT2A, NUP98 or GLIS2. Those with AML driven specifically by CBFA2T3::GLIS2 fusions have a dismal prognosis and are currently risk-stratified to receive hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in first remission. Here we report an infant with AML who was refractory to multiple lines of chemotherapy but lacked an identifiable fusion despite cytogenetic, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and targeted next generation sequencing (NGS) testing.

Objectives: To assess effects of supplementation with 3 or more micronutrients (multiple micronutrients; MMN) compared to no MMN in human milk-fed preterm and low birth weight (LBW) infants.
Results: Data on a subgroup of 414 preterm or LBW infants from 2 randomized controlled trials (4 reports) were included. The certainty of evidence ranged from low to very low.
Two fluorinated γ-AlO series were synthesized by a sol-gel method with two solvents (2-propanol and 2-butanol), two aluminium sources (ATB and ATP) and one fluorine source (NaAlF). The resulting inorganic matrixes were evaluated to characterize aluminium and fluorine species ([AlO], [AlO], [AlO], [AlF], [AlF] and [AlF]) by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Al magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (Al MAS-NMR) and infrared spectroscopy (IR-ATR). BET and BJH analyses using the nitrogen isotherms of these materials allowed identifying a clear trend in some textural parameters such as specific surface area and fluorine content.

The infrapatellar articularis genu (AG) links to the quadriceps femoris (QF) and can be sampled from discarded tissue during arthroplasty. We predict disuse-mediated changes in AG myofiber type ratio and atrophy similar to reports on the QF during OA.

GPCR signaling depends on the surrounding environment and intracellular localization through location bias. Here, we show by microscopy and by cell fractionation that in neurons, SUCNR1 resides at the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), while being fully functional, as shown by calcium release and the induction of the expression of the proangiogenic gene for VEGFA.

Methods: We collected data from 53 individuals who were living with HIV in Ohio, ≥ 50 years of age, and who identified as Black or African American. We conducted logistic regression models to examine the impact of HIV-related stigma and experiences of discrimination on medication and visit adherence.
Purpose: Studies of workplace learning largely focus on how individuals (clinicians and trainees) learn in the clinical workplace. By focusing on individuals, these studies miss opportunities to explore the co-constructive nature of learning that may result in clinician-educators and trainees learning alongside each other (co-learning). The purpose of this study was to explore whether and how co-learning occurs in the workplace and what value co-learning holds.

We hypothesized that a higher differential mass (ratio of flap mass to mastectomy mass) would be associated with greater satisfaction with reconstruction.
Methods: In this retrospective study, patients who underwent autologous breast reconstruction between 2015 and 2020 with a deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap completed the BREAST-Q survey.
Introduction: Chest imaging is necessary for diagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia, but current risk stratification tools do not consider radiographic severity. We quantified radiographic heterogeneity among inpatients with COVID-19 with the Radiographic Assessment of Lung Edema (RALE) score on Chest X-rays (CXRs).
Methods: We performed independent RALE scoring by ≥2 reviewers on baseline CXRs from 425 inpatients with COVID-19 (discovery dataset), we recorded clinical variables and outcomes, and measured plasma host-response biomarkers and SARS-CoV-2 RNA load from subjects with available biospecimens.
Background: Little is known about the current intake of sustainable diets globally and specifically in middle-income countries, considering nutritional, environmental and economic factors.
Objective: To assess and characterize the sustainability of Mexican diets and their association with sociodemographic factors.
Design: Dietary data of 2,438 adults within the National Health and Nutrition Survey 2012 by integrating diet quality measured by the Healthy Eating Index (HEI-2015), diet cost, and four environmental indicators were analyzed: land use (LU), biodiversity loss (BDL), carbon footprint (CFP), and blue water footprint (BWFP).
The objective of this study was to compare the effect of three micronutrient products on biomarkers of iron and zinc status of Mexican children 6−12 months of age. As part of research to improve the impact of a national program, 54 communities were randomly assigned to receive: (1) fortified food (FF), provided by the program at the time, or (2) micronutrient powders (MNP) or (3) syrup. Each product contained 10 mg each of zinc and iron, plus other micronutrients.

Methods: A retrospective observational study of patients with suspected LVV. All patients underwent US exam within 24 h per protocol.
The Threespine Stickleback is ancestrally a marine fish, but many marine populations breed in fresh water (i.e., are anadromous), facilitating their colonization of isolated freshwater habitats a few years after they form.

To overcome this challenge, a 3D printable prototype was designed, assembled, and validated to obtain fibers using the SBS method. The particular configuration of the prototype consisted of controlling the process conditions such as working distance and injection flow, as well as other parameters such as RPM and the axial movement of the cylindrical collector.

Methods: Retrospective, multi-centric, observational study, comparing a group of FM patients (FM group) with another group of patients with other rheumatic diseases (RD group). COVID-19 diagnosis was established by positive polymerase chain reaction or antigen during acute infection or by positive antibodies thereafter.
Unlabelled: Variations of the deadlift can be executed using the hexagonal (hex) bar by altering, for instance, the knee and torso angles while maintaining a constant hip angle at the start position.
Purpose: To examine muscle activation patterns of the biceps femoris, rectus femoris, and erector spinae during three deadlift variations using the hex bar.
Methods: Twenty resistance-trained male and female subjects performed hex bar deadlift variations in three different starting knee flexion positions: 128.

Community of Practice, a community-engagement method that encourages a group of people to interact regularly towards a common goal, may promote satisfying experiences in patient-outcomes research among marginalized populations. Peer support specialists are increasingly being involved in peer-informed mental health research due to their lived experiences of mental illness and are an asset in co-designing healthcare programs along with researchers. In 2015, ten scientists and ten mental health service users joined as a Community of Practice that trained to engage in patient-centered outcomes research.

Primary manifestations are diabetes, dermatosis, depression, weight loss, and deep vein thrombosis. Unlike other pNETs, glucagonomas are associated with a higher incidence of thromboembolic events, often resulting in death.

Despite the widespread use of e-cigarettes and the known detrimental cardiac consequences of nicotine, the effects of e-cigarettes on the cardiovascular system are not well-known. Several and studies delineating the mechanisms of the impact of e-cigarettes on the cardiovascular system have been published.

The alkyl chains of the cations can fold and block interactions between the cations and anions, thereby reducing the cohesivity of the liquid. At room temperature, the folded conformations represent less than one-third of the total conformations.

Patients And Methods: The survey was distributed among 7109 subscribers of the Parkinson and Movement Disorders Alliance (PMD Alliance) News and Information list and was open only to people with PD (PwP) and care partners (CP, defined as main caregivers of PwP and serving as proxy respondents). No attempt was made to identify PwP and CP pairs.
