Purpose: To evaluate student perception of integrating biomedical and clinical sciences based on survey of dental students on the concurrent teaching of a didactic systems-based course and a case-based course.
Methods: First-year to fourth-year students (DS1-DS4) students were surveyed for their experiences in concurrent teaching. Student response rate for the survey was 55% (229/420).
Objective: Clinicians make numerous decisions when 3D printing models for fabrication of thermoformed appliances, including printing solid or hollow models. While hollow models can reduce resin use, models intended for thermoformed appliance fabrication must be printed with sufficient thickness to withstand thermoforming. The aim of the study was to determine for hollow 3D printed orthodontic models if there is an effect of shell thickness on the dimensional accuracy of retainers thermoformed upon them as compared with solid models and, if so, to identify the minimum shell thickness that ensures dimensional accuracy of the thermoformed retainer under the conditions investigated.

Context information, such as expectations about what one is supposed to see or conclude, has been found to have a small but relentless impact on human perception, judgment, and decision-making. The article then considers the vulnerability of forensic science practice to context effects, and concludes by suggesting that forensic science adopt practices familiar in other fields of scientific work, in particular blind or double-blind testing and also the use of evidence line-ups.

Hypomotility was manifested by flocculation of barium in the small and large bowel. Impaired transit time was further characterized by prolonged emptying of the stomach (mean 570 min diabetics; 200 min controls) and delayed stool formation (mean 230 min diabetics; and 100 min controls) and passage (mean 457 min diabetics; 210 min controls).
