102 patients with EPH-gestosis in different stages of severity and 29 patients with normal pregnancy were examined regularly in a longitudinal study. 54 clinical and laboratory parameters were continuously measured. Techniques for the detection of leukocytospermia in human semen.

During the cytological evaluation of 1200 spermiocytograms, we used prestained microscope slides (Testsimplets) in 200 cases as a screening method. In 50 cases, a check was made to determine whether leukocytospermia could be detected with aid of Cytur-Test. The findings were compared with smears that were routinely stained by the Papanicolaou technique and subsequently differentiated.

[Separation of cellular and viral DNA polymerase from oncornavirus infected chicken cells].

RNA-directed DNA polymerase was isolated from the liver, spleen, and myeloblasts of chickens that had been infected with virus of avian myeloblastosis. The enzyme was chromatographically purified from the myeloblasts and brought to about 1,000-fold concentration. The method consisted in cell fractionation, lysis of the microsomal fraction, chromatography on Sephadex G-200 and phosphocellulose, as well as ultracentrifugation in the glycerol gradient.

[Determination of blood coagulation in acute obstetrical and gynecologic hemorrhages by means of the Hellige direct writing thrombelastograph].

Thrombelastography, as a method of rapid registration, is an important addition to the present screening tests of coagulation status. With this method we are able to quickly obtain exact values for clotting and fibrinolysis with more precision than those which can be obtained from the clot observation test. The TEG monitor must however be available in the immediate vicinity of the labour ward and must be ready for use around the clock.
