Introduction: National surveillance data are needed for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender population, a group which has been shown to have unique health needs.

In addition, tobacco waste may be detrimental to our natural environment. The tobacco industry has conducted or funded numerous studies on smokers' littering knowledge and behavior, however, non-industry sponsored research is rare.

Thoracic complications of urologic laparoscopy: correlation between radiographic findings and clinical manifestations.

Background And Purpose: The usefulness of plain film chest radiography (CXR) in evaluation for thoracic complications after laparoscopic urologic procedures is uncertain. Our objectives were to examine the association between radiographic findings and clinical manifestations of thoracic complications after laparoscopic urologic procedures and to determine the prevalence of postoperative CXR at our institution.

Patients And Methods: We performed a retrospective review of 195 patients who underwent laparoscopic renal/adrenal urologic procedures at our institution from 1998 to 2005.

Use of BioGlue in laparoscopic partial nephrectomy.

Hemostasis during laparoscopic partial nephrectomy continues to be a challenging problem for the laparoscopic surgeon. We have found BioGlue to be highly effective as a hemostatic agent during laparoscopic partial nephrectomy.

Purpose: We summarize important clinical, pathological and diagnostic features of benign intrascrotal lesions, including paratesticular lesions (adenomatoid tumors, fibrous pseudotumors, cystadenomas, spermatoceles, hydroceles, varicoceles and hernias) and intratesticular lesions (tunica albuginea cysts, testicular simple cysts, epidermoid cysts, cystic ectasia of the rete testis, intratesticular varicocele, adrenal rest tumors and splenogonadal fusion). This review provides the reader with a better understanding of benign lesions that occur in the scrotum.
