Background: Unstructured play has also been found effective on promoting positive emotions and emotional competence among children and adolescents with special educational needs (SEN). Unstructured Outdoor Play coupled with Mindfulness-based Interventions via 'Supporting Wellness in E-Child Learning Environments' (SWELE) program can foster the mental health and wellbeing of children and adolescents with SEN. Currently there is a lack of the unstructured play with mindfulness-based interventions in the special schools in Hong Kong.

Datopotamab-deruxtecan plus durvalumab in early-stage breast cancer: the sequential multiple assignment randomized I-SPY2.2 phase 2 trial.

Sequential adaptive trial designs can help accomplish the goals of personalized medicine, optimizing outcomes and avoiding unnecessary toxicity. Here we describe the results of incorporating a promising antibody-drug conjugate, datopotamab-deruxtecan (Dato-DXd) in combination with programmed cell death-ligand 1 inhibitor, durvalumab, as the first sequence of therapy in the I-SPY2.2 phase 2 neoadjuvant sequential multiple assignment randomization trial for high-risk stage 2/3 breast cancer.

Psychological resilience factors in intensive care nursing: a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making model.

Purpose: To analyze the key factors influencing the psychological resilience of intensive care unit (ICU) nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic and put forward suggestions promoting resilience based on key improvement factors and clinical experience.

Methods: Data were collected from 35 ICU nurses in a hospital in Zhejiang Province, China, through a questionnaire survey conducted between January and February 2023. The Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method was then used to construct and visualize the relationship structure between the factors.

This article describes the application of transition theory to assist a family with an infant with congenital complex gastroschisis. The nursing period, from March 3, 2023 to May 9, 2023, encompassed care from hospitalization to discharge. Relationship Between Subjective Questionnaires and Videofluoroscopy of Dysphagia Evaluation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Background: Early detection of dysphagia is important for preventing aspiration pneumonia. Although videofluoroscopy is currently the primary diagnostic tool for dysphagia, access to this tool may be limited because of radiation exposure risk, high cost, and other factors.

Purpose: In this study, a meta-analysis was used to determine the strength of the correlation between dysphagia detection outcomes obtained using subjective questionnaires and videofluoroscopy.

Older patients and dialysis shared decision-making. Insights from an ethnographic discourse analysis of interviews and clinical interactions.

Objective: To describe and analyse the perspectives and communication practices of kidney clinicians and older patients (aged 60 +) during collaborative education and decision-making about dialysis.

Methods: This qualitative study drew on pluralistic data sources and analytical approaches investigating elicited semi-structured interviews (n = 31) with doctors (n = 8), nurses (n = 8) and patients (n = 15), combined with ethnographic observations, written artefacts and audio-recorded naturally-occurring interactions (n = 23, education sessions n = 4; consultations n = 19) in a tertiary Australian kidney outpatient clinic. Data were analysed for themes and linguistic discourse features.

Application of failure mode and effect analysis in ICU admission of potentially COVID-19 infected patients.

Background: To analyze the admission and treatment process of potentially COVID-19-infected patients in the intensive care unit under normalization, prevention, and control of the pandemic.

Methods: A multidisciplinary team was assembled to develop a flowchart of potentially COVID-19-infected patients admitted to the intensive care unit and identify potential failure steps and modes throughout the process using the failure mode and effect analysis method. Through risk priority number (RPN) analysis of each failure mode, those with the highest impact on nosocomial infection were identified, and the priority of implementation was determined.

The mediation of health-promoting lifestyle on self-perceived health status and quality of life among nurses: a cross-sectional study.

Background: Nurses with busy workloads lack the time to maintain health, leading to a decline in physical and mental health and quality of life. Objective: This study aimed to develop an interpretive model with decision rules to assess the risk level of pressure injuries in adult inpatients and identify the critical risk factors associated with these injuries.

Methods: The rough set approach was used to identify the critical risk factors associated with pressure injuries and demonstrate their behavioral patterns. The study focused on adult inpatients aged 18 or above who remained in bed for at least 24 hours after admission.

[A Nurse's Experience Providing Care to a Mother of a Toddler With Cohen's Syndrome Facing Tracheostomy Decision-Making Conflict Using Watson's Caring Theory].

This case involved a 17-month-old toddler with Cohen's syndrome and cerebral palsy who had experienced multiple hospitalizations and operations since birth. During hospitalization, the patient suffered from tracheomalacia and poor swallowing and coughing abilities and had experienced two cardiopulmonary resuscitation events, after which a tracheotomy was suggested. Decision-making regarding the tracheotomy placed the mother under tremendous pressure, who was facing both the life-threatening disease of her son and her burden of care.

Evaluating the efficacy of the Thai Health Improvement Profile intervention for preventing weight gain in people with early stage psychosis: A randomized controlled trial.

Objectives: To investigate the efficacy of the Thai Health Improvement Profile intervention for preventing clinically significant weight gain in people with early stage psychosis.

Methods: We undertook a randomised controlled trial from 10/2018 to 05/2021. Participants with early stage psychosis (<5 year duration) were recruited using convenience sampling from the caseloads of community psychiatric nurses in Thailand and randomly allocated to either the Thai Health Improvement Profile intervention or treatment as usual group following baseline assessment.

The effect of hospital-based health promotion on the health practices of full-time hospital nurses: a cross-sectional study.

Many studies have reported positive contributions of health promotion on the health behavior of nursing staff working in hospitals, including the maintenance of a regular healthy diet, engagement in physical activity, performance of routine screening practices, and participation in a health examination.
