Rationale And Objectives: To develop and validate a radiomics signature, utilizing baseline and restaging CT, for preoperatively predicting progression-free survival (PFS) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in locally advanced gastric cancer (LAGC).
Methods: A total of 316 patients with LAGC who received NAC followed by gastrectomy were retrospectively included in this single-center study; these patients were split into two cohorts, one for training (n = 243) and the other for validation (n = 73), based on the different districts of our hospital. A total of 1316 radiomics features were extracted from the volume of interest of the gastric-cancer lesion on venous phase CT images.

In addition, water demand continues to grow due to increased human use and a growing population. Sustainably managing water resources requires a thorough understanding of water storage and flow in natural, agricultural, and urban ecosystems.

Design: Retrospective cohort study.
Self-assembly of M(ClO) (M = Ni, Cu, and Zn) with (1,1',1'',2,2',2'')-(benzenetricarbonyltris(azanediyl))tris(2,3-dihydro-1-indene-2,1-diyl) trinicotinate (,-L) and the corresponding enantiomer (,-L) as a pair of chiral tridentate donors gives rise to the chiral cage pairs [M(,- and ,-L)](ClO). For the two pairs of [(MeCO)(HO)@M(,- and ,-L)](ClO) (M = Ni and Zn), the inner cavity is occupied by both an acetone and a single water molecule, whereas for the copper(II) pair of [MeCO@Cu(,- and ,-L)](ClO) under the same conditions, the cavity is filled by only one acetone molecule. Thus, the encapsulation of guest molecules into the cages during self-assembly shows significant metal(II) ion effects.

However, conventional stent manufacturing techniques struggle to produce complex auxetic stent designs, fueling the adoption of additive manufacturing techniques.
Methods: In this study, we employed DMLS additive manufacturing to create Titanium Ti64 alloy stent prototypes based on auxetic stent designs investigated in a previous study.
The self-assembly of NiCl with a chiral bidentate ligand pair, (1,2)-(+)- and (1,2)-(-)-1-(nicotinamido)-2,3-dihydro-1-inden-2-yl nicotinate (,-L and ,-L) in a mixture of ethanol and dioxane, gives rise to stable crystals consisting of [2Cl@NiCl(,-L)(HO)]·4CHO·EtOH and [2Cl@NiCl(,-L)(HO)]·4CHO·EtOH chiral cages, respectively, with two encapsulated chloride anions in the cavities. The most interesting feature is that the self-assembly of NiCl with the mixture of ,-L and ,-L (1 : 1-1 : 4) produces crystals of thermodynamically stable achiral cages, [2Cl·2HO@NiCl(,-L)(,-L)(HO)]·7CHO, in the molar ratio range. Furthermore, the [2Cl@NiCl(,-L)(HO)]·4CHO·EtOH and [2Cl@NiCl(,-L)(HO)]·4CHO·EtOH chiral crystals can recognize the pairs of L-,D-tryptophan and L-,D-cysteine cyclic voltammetry (CV) signals, in contrast to the [2Cl·2HO@NiCl(,-L)(,-L)(HO)]·7CHO achiral crystal.

Methods: Using RNA sequencing, we identified key genes in placental tissues from healthy individuals and preeclampsia patients. Placenta and plasma samples from pregnant women were collected to detect the expression of TPBG (trophoblast glycoprotein).
Introduction: Constipation is an independent risk factor for poor bowel preparation. This study aimed to evaluate the bowel cleansing efficacy and safety of polyethylene glycol (PEG) combined with linaclotide (lin) for colonoscopy in patients with chronic constipation (CC).
Methods: This single-blinded, randomized, controlled, and multicenter study was conducted from July 2021 to December 2022 at 7 hospitals.

Background And Purpose: Rupture is the most life-threatening manifestation of cerebral AVMs. This study aimed to explore the hemodynamic mechanism of AVM rupture. We introduced a new quantitative DSA parameter that can reflect the degree of intranidal blood stasis, called the lesion-filling index.

Here we present SARS-CoV-2 resistance analyses from the Phase 3 SIMPLE clinical studies evaluating RDV in hospitalized participants with severe or moderate COVID-19 disease. The severe and moderate studies enrolled participants with radiologic evidence of pneumonia and a room-air oxygen saturation of ≤94% or >94%, respectively.

The cause of lipid-induced cardiomyopathy involves a pivotal role for the proton-pump vacuolar-type H-ATPase (v-ATPase), which acidifies endosomes, and for lipid-transporter CD36, which is stored in acidified endosomes. During lipid overexposure, an increased influx of lipids into cardiomyocytes is sensed by v-ATPase, which then disassembles, causing endosomal de-acidification and expulsion of stored CD36 from the endosomes toward the sarcolemma.

Background: Historical MCL (medial collateral ligament) reconstruction (MCLR) techniques have focused on the superficial MCL (sMCL) to restore valgus stability while frequently ignoring the importance of the deep MCL (dMCL) in controlling tibial external rotation. The recent recognition of the medial ligament complex importance has multiple studies revisiting medial anatomy and questioning contemporary MCLR techniques.
Purpose: To assess whether (1) an isolated sMCL reconstruction (sMCLR), (2) an isolated dMCL reconstruction (dMCLR), or (3) a novel single-strand short isometric construct (SIC) would restore translational and rotational stability to a knee with a dMCL and sMCL injury.
Background: Adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs) share clinical features and risk factors with cardiovascular disease and there is an increasing prevalence of hypertension among reproductive women. However, the associations between maternal preconception blood pressure (BP) and APOs remain controversial and inconclusive.
Methods: This population-based cohort study used data of 567 127 mother-neonate-father triads from the National Free Preconception Checkup Project in Guangdong Province, China.
Hierarchical structural design has been verified as a feasible strategy to fabricate effective electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorbers, so we designed hierarchical core-sheath composites with magnetic particles and dielectric layers. In this work, a hierarchical structure of carbon fiber (CF)@FeO@MoS (CPDF7-M) was prepared by introducing FeO and depositing MoS layers on the surface of fibers. Due to the synergistic effects from the CF@FeO increasing the conductive and magnetic loss and the outer MoS layers improving the impedance matching, the optimal reflection loss () value was -63.

Stents derived from auxetic unit cells have shown some potential to address these issues as they offer an optimum trade-off between radial stiffness and bending flexibility.
Methods: In this study, we utilized an established finite element (FE)-based approach to replicate the mechanical response of a SG iliac limb derived from auxetic unit cells in a virtual tortuous iliac aneurysm using a combination of a 180° U-bend and intraluminal pressurization.
Self-assembly of CuX (X = BF, PF, and SbF) with a pair of chiral bidentate ligands, (12)-(+)- and (12)-(-)-1-(nicotinamido)-2,3-dihydro-1-inden-2-yl-nicotinate (-L or -L), in a mixture solvent including ethanol in a glass vessel gives rise to SiF-encapsulated CuL chiral cage products. The SiF anion from the reaction of X with SiO of the glass-vessel surface acts as a cage template or cage bridge. One of the products, [SiF@Cu(SiF)(-L)]·3CHCl·4EtOH, is one of the most effective heterogeneous catalysts for the oxidation of 3,5-di--butylcatechol.
