species are the main cause of snake bites in rural communities of tropical developing countries of Central and South America. Envenomation by snakes is characterized by prominent local inflammation, hemorrhage and necrosis as well as systemic hemostatic disturbances. These pathological effects are mainly caused by the major toxins of the viperidae venoms, the snake venom metalloproteinases (SVMPs).

Problem: COVID-19 during pregnancy is linked to increased maternal morbidity and a higher incidence of preterm births (PTBs), yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Cellular senescence, characterized by the irreversible cessation of cell division, is a critical process in placental function, and its dysregulation has been implicated in pregnancy complications like PTB. Senescence can be induced by various stressors, including oxidative stress, DNA damage, and viral infections.

Background: For Parkinson's disease patients with motor fluctuations, the duration of benefit per levodopa dose is a key metric that reflects a patient's clinical response.

Objective: Determine the difference in mean durations of "Good On" time per dose of subjects randomized to extended-release carbidopa-levodopa (ER CD-LD; IPX203; CREXONT®) vs. immediate-release (IR) CD-LD in the RISE-PD trial.

Objectives: The shape is commonly used to describe the objects. State-of-the-art algorithms in medical imaging are predominantly diverging from computer vision, where voxel grids, meshes, point clouds, and implicit surface models are used. This is seen from the growing popularity of ShapeNet (51,300 models) and Princeton ModelNet (127,915 models).
