Here we describe a method of forming large arrays (up to 10(9) pieces) of free magnetic Ni-nanodisks 50 nm thick coated on both sides with layers of 5 nm thick Au. The antitumor effect of the magnetic nickel gold-coated nanodisks and DNA aptamer conjugates was evaluated in vivo and in vitro. Under the influence of rotating magnetic field, the studied nanodisks can cause the death of Ehrlich ascites carcinoma cells.

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a frequent, autosomal-dominant cardiac disease and manifests predominantly as left ventricular hypertrophy. Mutations in the cardiac beta-myosin heavy chain gene (MYH7) are responsible for the disease in about 30% of cases where mutations were identified. We clinically evaluated a large group of 147 consecutive HCM patients from three cardiology centers in Germany, Poland, and Kyrgyzstan according to the same protocol.

A complex of clinicoinstrumental methods (two-dimensional and Doppler echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, etc.) was used for the detection of right heart hypertrophic cardiomyopathies (RHHCMP) (52 patients aged 16 to 67). Right heart local apical HCMP (20 patients) was characterized by regional hypertrophy (1.

The clinical pattern of primary high altitude pulmonary arterial hypertension observed in permanent residents of mountain regions is described. The diagnostic value of some non-invasive instrumental methods in primary high altitude pulmonary artery hypertension is analysed: electro- and vectorcardiography, rheopulmonography, and indirect pulmonary artery pressure determination. It is suggested to distinguish the labile, stable and decompensated forms of the disease on the basis of its clinical and functional peculiarities.
