Decisions about ethnic groups studied in health research shape recommendations. If a group is not included in research, its ability to call for policy change is limited. Despite health inequalities for the Irish in Britain in the 20th century, recent research on health is likely to combine the White Irish with White British, whereas Irish people of colour are not mentioned at all.

Purpose: Baseline surveys were conducted in Tigray region, Ethiopia, in 2013. Since then, rounds of azithromycin mass drug administration (MDA) have been delivered in-line with international guidance. The purpose of these surveys was to assess trachomatous inflammation-follicular (TF) prevalence following those treatments to enable the region to plan the next steps towards elimination of trachoma.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFPurpose: Embolisation is a widely utilised therapeutic intervention for pulmonary arteriovenous malformation (PAVM). We conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate outcomes of PAVM embolisation and factors associated with embolisation outcomes.
Methods: MEDLINE, EMBASE and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) were searched from 2000 to July 2022 on studies that assessed embolisation outcomes of PAVM.
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic and recovery period have exacerbated workforce challenges for nurses and midwives. The increasingly complex nature of healthcare, combined with rising workloads and staff attrition highlights the need for initiatives that improve workplace satisfaction and retention. In response, mentoring programs aimed at enhancing job satisfaction and retention are being increasingly implemented.
