Extraosseous osteosarcoma arising from the small intestinal mesentery.

Extraskeletal osteosarcoma (EOS) is a highly aggressive and exceedingly rare mesenchymal tumor. Due to the rare nature of the disease, the diagnosis can be difficult and is often confirmed only after diagnostic laparotomy and histopathology. We describe the clinical history, radiologic and histomorphologic presentation, and clinical management of a 61-year-old patient who presented with abdominal pain.

[Sonographic detection and the clinical significance of the left retroaortal renal vein].

A retro-aortal left renal vein can be expected in 12.2% of the patients, as anatomical examinations show; in 8,9% of the cases, this presents as a circum -aortal venous ring, whereas in 3.3% it occurs as an isolated V.

[Microcystic pancreas adenoma].

The microcystic adenoma of the pancreas is a very rare benign pancreatic tumour. This tumour, which is usually large and grows slowly, results in displacement and compression of the adjacent organs. Angiography reveals hypervascularisation.
