Background: Osteocytes are crucial for detecting mechanical stimuli and translating them into biochemical responses within the bone. The primary cilium, a cellular 'antenna,' plays a vital role in this process. However, there is a lack of direct correlation between cilium length changes and osteocyte mechanosensitivity changes.

Accurately assessing the dry deposition fluxes of inorganic nitrogen aerosol (aerosol-IN) is crucial for mitigating the ecological damage caused by excessive nitrogen in oceanic equilibria. We developed a dry deposition model to assess the dry deposition fluxes of aerosol-IN into Chinese offshore areas over a decade, with the range of 2.81 × 10-1.

Many coastal ecosystems have suffered from cultural eutrophication and dead zones. In the Chesapeake Bay, water quality degradation is manifested in low dissolved oxygen, poor water clarity, and decreased submerged aquatic vegetation acreage. This research combines long-term monitoring data, science-based assessment methods, and novel data analysis approaches (i.

Article Synopsis
  • The electrochemical reduction of nitrates to ammonia from electroplating wastewater is a promising method for environmental sustainability, but the slow charge transfer hampers efficiency.
  • A new oxygen-incorporated CuNFe antiperovskite was created using magneto-thermal stimulation, achieving a notable ammonia yield of 1.34mmol h cm and a Faradaic efficiency of 95.5% at -0.6 V.
  • A novel membraneless flow electrolyzer was also developed, allowing for the simultaneous reduction of nitrates and recovery of ammonia, making it a practical solution for treating real electroplating wastewater.

Avian pathogenic (APEC) is one of the major causes of poultry morbidity worldwide, severely reducing egg production and embryo hatchability in laying hens. Hainan Wenchang chicken is an important poultry breed in Hainan, China, and its culture has been affected by APEC for a long time. In this study, in order to investigate the causes of low hatchability and a large number of weak chicks during the breeding of Wenchang chicken, a total of 130 strains of APEC were isolated from 591 chicken embryo samples collected from five large-scale farms of Wenchang chicken in Hainan area.
