Objective: The objective of this review is to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to prevent or treat prolonged grief symptoms among families of patients who die in intensive care units (ICU).

Introduction: Up to 52% of families of patients who die in ICU may be at risk of experiencing prolonged grief symptoms.

Inclusion Criteria: Studies of adult family members (≥18 years) of adult ICU patients (≥18 years) who underwent a treatment withdrawal or withholding decision, and who were exposed to tailored interventions to prevent or treat prolonged grief symptoms before, during, and/or after the patient's death will be considered for inclusion.

Introduction: Overweight and obesity are chronic and multifactorial diseases with a strong genetic component contributing to weight gain across all age groups. This study aimed to conduct a Genome-wide Association Study (GWAS) on a cohort of 1,004 Brazilian children (5-11 years old) to identify specific DNA regions associated with susceptibility to overweight.

Methods: The GWAS was performed on children participating in the SCAALA (Asthma and Allergy Social Changes in Latin America) program, with participants classified as either overweight or non-overweight.

Objectives: To construct and validate a terminological subset of the International Classification of Nursing Practice (ICNP®) for people with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis.

Method: Methodological study developed in accordance with the recommendations of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the Brazilian method, in the following stages: construction of ND/NO and NI statements of the ICNP® for nursing practice for people with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis, based on previously constructed specialized terminology and in accordance with Wanda Horta's Basic Human Needs Theory; and content validation of the statements by focus groups with specialist nurses. To assess and compare two techniques of low-level laser application-transgingival (TLLLT) and intrasulcular (ILLLT)-used in photobiomodulation as an adjunct to basic periodontal therapy (BPT) in patients with periodontitis. A randomized, split-mouth, double-blind clinical trial was conducted, selecting three diseased periodontal sites from different quadrants in each patient.
